I need these keychains in my life.
Just finished episode 25
Quarantining more than half of my base 
I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm sure the infection has something to do with the languages the staff speak
I've noticed all the symptomatic staff speak Russian, English, Afrikaans and Kikongo... I'll discard English since everyone speaks it and maybe Russian as those are probably from Afghanistan and have nothing to do with the infection... so I'm gonna be a racist asshole and lock up everyone who speaks Afrikaans and/or Kikongo

You're on the right track.
I'm only up to mission 7 (mission 11 was a surprise interruption while I was going to an side ops mission).
3 missions left to s-rank...
Without quiet, sleep mines, stun grenades, sleep grenades, em mines, silenced sniper rifle, upgraded wu pistol, stun arm this would have been a nightmare to achieve. And even then it feels like a chore to s-rank these high level missions and I still have many of the side missions to go...
Going to give this a break for a couple weeks after the final three s-ranks are done and knock out new destiny content but even so when I get back to it I still have so much left to do percentage wise.

He's the guy that brought Big Boss' legend back to life and kept him relevant. He's also the guy who launched the Outer Heaven uprising. It's an ass pull but if you think of it in those terms, it can make you feel better. Still, I'd rather have played a game that had a Big Boss that actually spoke and hearing the tapes that actually were Big Boss, he sounded more Big Bossish so it's a shame.

I hear you...it makes enough sense but I really would have preferred it if we played as Big Boss too.

So I just finished Episode 31
Was surprised when I started to see the credits roll. The ending didn't really feel complete. Even more so after Chapter 2: Race starts. I really enjoyed the game, but after Arkham Knight i'm done with the whole get 100% in order to get the true ending thing. Is it even worth replaying what i'm guessing is about 18 more missions just on extreme difficulty? Kind of shitty that in order to get some new story missions, you have to replay old ones on extreme.
You don't have to replay a single mission, just keep doing side ops (both regular and important) and you be fine.

I think it's a very vocal group that are upset that the game doesn't have much story.
I mean, sure, but playing the game is so fun and it has so much content..
I guess I feel like we got plenty of story in mgs1-4 and instead having a giant open world incredible stealth game as the last game makes sense.
I'm only to mission 26 but I can see that this game is going to have a very self contained and inconsequential story to the other games in the series. I can accept that.

I'm playing through MGS1 for the first time and while I've been enjoying it a lot, I just got to the fight against Sniper Wolf.
Unless I'm missing some huge detail, this boss fight seems poorly executed.

Yeah, it isn't great. There's a sneaky trick you can use to make it less of a chore.

The lack of story is a bummer for people who are really invested. I do not hate the game because, like you said, it plays great, it is hard to look past the story structure and how unfinished the game is.

Hope you liked the missions in Chapter 1, because 90% of the missions in Chapter 2 are just repeats of those missions :/

I won't tilt your experience with this game. Just keep in mind, you don't have to those missions you already did, you can do Side-Ops and new missions will pop up.

I'm on mission 23 (so no spoilers plz) and I haven't seen much story yet, but IRL friends tell me the story gets good later, but all I hear on the internet (I.e Gaf) is that the story sucks. So which is it?

i was fine with the story disappointing yes but over all fine with it wont be surprised when the DLC comes flooding in

At least MGSV is the perfect Podcast game.
Edit: Don't get any hopes up for Story DLC, it will be skins and little stuff. Konami won't care about big productions anymore.

Bad but I like the stupid twist more than I should. I love when Metal Gear does stuff that divides the fanbase. It's why MGS4 is so great.

It's the best since 3, by which I mean 4 and PW were garbage ramblings of an unfiltered lunatic and in V it's still pretty bad but they marginalize it so you can just enjoy the gameplay, which is fucking tremendous. Best game of the year not featuring a witcher.
I think they count towards completion percentage, if that matters to you.
Nah, I wonder if some give you special resources, I know some give you an extra cutscene at the end of the mission.

Chapter 2 story is a mess.
But i love the game hahaha. I think they needed maybe another year of development. Unless they are hiding something and will be releasing extra content soon.
But some of the explanations and derivatives of the story are just lame.
Overall tho. I think this has the best gameplay of any MGS.
Still my game of the year.
Not even DLC can fix the story, and the way it's told unfortunately.
What i had written isn't spoilers, but i couldn't be arsed for an argument.
A lot, there are only 7 story missions in it.
You don't have to do those remix missions though, just keep doing important and normal side missions, and what little story will unfold for you.

Reading this shit is disappointing tbh. After all these years of development, the story sucks.
I can handle MGS4 levels of bad story, but sounds like this is worse. I wonder why reviews didn't really mention this.
