So I'm not sure exactly how free roam works. I can still do main missions and side ops this way right? I just have to find those little outposts with the mission info or something?

Side ops don't restrict you from what i saw. They are just like events you can tackle and gain something good. Thats how i got the interpreter.

Main Missions are more involved? i've only done one haha A Heros Way.

Well my question was more related to how missions work in the Free Roam mode. Like if/how u can accept them etc.

Almost reconstructed my PS4 save on PC, just missing a couple of things.

I keep getting killed on mission 6 (red brass) yet on my second attempt i think, i got an S. I think i'm trying to rush it maybe.

Also a litlle PSA. try to redownload your GZ save, i did, and i got the gold arm and sneaking suits. (i had a 100% save)
Strangely enough, when i dl'ed it last night i didn't get them.

You select them from your iDroid and then go to one of the designated waypoints to start the mission.

Spent 2 hours just listening to music/story tapes and tackling everyone on Motherbase, haven't even paid attention to the missions yet. This game will devour my life lol.

My one slight complaint so far is that the game seems pretty easy.

but I'm still early on so that makes sense kinda. I just think it's kind of weird how you can just order more silencers or more C4 or more whatever at any time. I wish they would have some missions where you can't just order more stuff anytime so you would have to plan better.

You can order tons of stuff, doesn't really matter when theres 20+ guards in the area that can spot you 60 meters away

If I was limited in how many silencers you could use on a mission you couldn't rely on tranq darts so much. I think it would promote more variety in gameplay. I feel kind of like i'm cheating when I just headshot everyone with tranq darts instead of finding moments when they're alone and sneaking up to cqc them.

I feel like the tranq gun should be your limited resource that gets you past a guard you just can't get close enough to safely, but you only have so many uses.

oh don't worry, that won't be a problem after some hours of gameplay

i've takena few hours off, but am i the only one going throw the game only using the tranq pistol, un till i can make a tranq auto rifle and sniper. ?

Is it the one that reminds us of the MGS1 suit?

My girlfriend isn't that excited about The Phantom Pain. It's pretty boring to her with the horse riding going on all the time. She prefers Guns of the Patriots, and I gotta admit, I wish there were more cutscenes but the gameplay is stunning.

I have "only time will tell" as my helicopter music.

Everytime I forget about it and the music kicks in it makes me laugh.

It's such a brilliant feature.

Those synth trumpets on the horizon, or after stopping by mother base

As for song options, you can do all the customization from the iDroid.
