MGO3 was delayed about a month after Phantom Pains launch, so, classic konami only hitting half-way.Awful, I remember when a game was released complete
And even AA games like Homefront were expected to have multiple MP modes on launch, and they did.Awful, I remember when a game was released complete
Cross play off baby. I pity the "master" race.My prediction for this is there will be no anti-cheat and people will be firing up CheatEngine on day 1 and setting speed to 2.0 and running around just like the Resident Evil multiplayer games as of recent.
If a game's gimmick is not being spotted and PC cheaters will be able to enable ESP to see exactly where someone is, what's the point? I doubt Konami support is going to cater to cheat reports, too.
To be fair, you had to buy the updated version of MGS3 called "Subsistence" to access the multiplayer MGO1, and 3rd person camera.Awful, I remember when a game was released complete

Damn, it was the best MGO for me. MGO 2 didn't quite hit the same chords.S. East, GG, Brown Town, KillHouse A let's go.
I mean do you consider the original, without the third person camera, without all the bonuses (MG1 and 2 notably, MGS theater) and without the online multiplayer to be an unfinished package ?But lets ask 80€ for a basicly unfinished package. NICE one Konami

MGS3 and MGSV both had multiplayer releases after launch, the collective amnesia is astonishing.Awful, I remember when a game was released complete

This game will not support cross-play between platforms.
Kind of an ass-backwards move in 2025 where a game like this would thrive on the max amount of people playing together.
This getting delayed is a good sign. It was never originally a selling point so it's purely an add on but the fact they're taking it's launch seriously bodes well.Ah, thank you!! Homefront...
I was trying to think of one of those easily-forgotten PS2/PS3-era games which tacked on extra modes trying to sell a "complete package" at full price to compete with the good and popular games of the genre even through sheer feature-stuffing and marketing fluff, and I was having trouble thinking of a game memorable yet forgotten enough to prove the point that development effort was wasted on features for bulletpoints to the back of the box rather than having efforts concentrated on either all-good MP or good SP. I was thinking like, Area 51? No, nobody alive can talk about that game's modes being good or not. Dark Void? No, that MP mode got canceled. Spec Ops: The Line? Yeah maybe, but that was late in that "Who's this f***ing other stuff supposed to be for?" era. But then there it is: Homefront, perfect example!
So anyways, they don't make games like it's the 2010s anymore because things changed. Sometimes for the the better; sometimes not.
We'll see how Fox Hunt turns out, but I don't see how rushing it a few moths for the boxed release would have made it a better product than releasing it when it's ready?
PS5 master race rejoice. Can't wait to play ps5 only lobbies. At least I can play this without cheaters.
They probably won't have anti-cheat on this.
Fucking hell the memories of Spies vs Mercs just hit me hard.Splinter cell

It's just a small mode too, who the fuck honestly cares.
