I really need to upgrade my CPU. Its usually the only thing holding me back nowadays.
yes, i suppose, but i was saying that more in the sense to prevent any "what do you MEAN my graphics card from 2007 won't run this, it's on ps3 and 360!"PC is the lead platform, isn't it?![]()
I wonder if my 3 year old phenom x6 will be able to run it on minimum.
I was thinking more in terms of architecture and performance differences. Like with the 750 and 750 Ti, while being in the same "range" as the 650 was beforehand, are both Maxwell cards and a massive leap over that card. Also, skipping numbering so as not to confuse people with rebranded laptop cards.
It's not quite as bad as the whole 9/8800 GT/S/X classification system was back in the day, I guess.
I guess there's a leap because Kepler had two phases. The GK104 chips (650, 660Ti, 670/760, 680/770) and the GK110 chips (780/780Ti/Titan). And Maxwell is in the latter league.
guessing is because of the 4 threads
650/660 are GK106 I think.
Oh, I know I'm fine gpu wise since I have a gtx 660. But thanks for you answer. But I do know I'll need to upgrade my comp cpu wise in the near future.Yes; it'll depend on your GPU.
Textures are not particularly detailed (especially the environment) so 3gb should be enough.Am I blind? Or not seeing VRAM requirements?

Is it safe to assume TPP will require the same specs?
It's likely they are too.
I'd imagine it'll be fine.
Popsicle (Robert, KojiPro LA Community Manager) stated that TPP requirements will be posted at a later date.
Does this mean that the requirements will be higher? Popsicle said that he can't say.
...or the game just isn't finished, so it's impossible for the developers to judge.
Is it better if we do that in the Community thread or in this one?
Probably the Community thread since this one will likely be turned to ashes for Snake to smear across his face by the time new info is unveiled!
LOL. Well, let's get started then...![]()
Ha! Done, mate. ^_^ (I guess I added you a while back, though, as I tend to run into you across various Metal Gear-related boards!)
i don't expect the required specs to budge, but the minimum specs may rise.Popsicle (Robert, KojiPro LA Community Manager) stated that TPP requirements will be posted at a later date.

if you're looking to max it out though, be aware some more nvidia graphics tech might be implemented for tpp. could get away with the required 760 though but at this point i'm just guessing. In that case, that would be great.

i really hope we get to see the game before release. as nice as it would be to see the pc version for the first time with my own eyes, i want to see the improvements
Reasonable. See Ubisoft? This is how you do it.
Metal Gear Solid's Facebook page responded to a comment I made regarding a potential Ground Zeroes PC unveiling with the following:
"We'll hopefully have more to show of the game prior to launch running in native settings on PC. No details as to what or when yet, though."
So, get hype! Maybe?
Darn, I'm still rocking a Lynnfield.
man I hope my GTX580 can keep itself from frying completely long enough for me to experience some of this on my PC.
Yeah bro i have the same graphics card. *fingers crossed*
MGO3 on PC.

MGO2 was easily my most played game on the PS3.
That's why i never cared about them and wonder till this day, why people do it to a certain extent.God damn, required/recommended specs have been illogical for as far back as I can remember.
