Metal Gear Solid V: Gamescom Gameplay Demo

ha anyone seen the spoiler thread, is it that bad? Obviously do not post spoilers but are there a lot in it and are they verified as being true. I visited the thread but squinted my eyes while scrolling down very quickly just to see general talk, gladly i did not see anything. So tempting but i do NOT want the game ruined for me

It is bad. End game level spoilers going around apparently - just don't go in there.

Just stay away. I don't even know what's real or fake but it's best to just stay away. All I can gather is this game will be a mindfuck.

Central time 7 AM? Fuck yeah, that's a whole day to play it before my first class on Tuesday. Shouldn't take me long to download with gigabit.
 
That spoiler thread is like choosing to jump off a cliff and aiming for the most jagged rocks at the bottom only because you were a bit too impatient to wait for the guy to come and through down a ladder for you even after you'd spent years getting hyped for the getting off of this cliff for some reason and yet you can't wait just that teensy bit longer that you need to to do it without landing flush on a bunch of pointy rocks... that will hurt you.

Or something.

So basically, yeah, I might go in and have a look, see what's what.
 
We however need someone that goes to the Spoiler thread, collects the best Tips & Suggestions for a new game, and list it here.

Like best weapon/gadget tree to invest early on, where to go first, etc.


Also, if the Guide mentions what is transferred from the Ground Zeroes savegame.
Stuff like that. Whom will be the valiant one?

I have full faith it'll be worth the wait and we WILL see Big Boss turn into the monster he is supposed to become.

Please don't. I really don't want to see anything from there. This thread is so far a relatively safe little oasis in the middle of the harsh, unforgiving interwebs; don't ruin it by taking a massive shit in the water. Pretty please.

I talked to someone in the spoiler thread in PM asking about what in general is happening, seems there is still a lot of theories as the guide doesn't reveal everything and its being translated.
 
This thread has gone through so many changes. First it was about the Gamescom trailer, then it was about MGS in general, then it was about grinding, now it's about the spoiler thread.

The official guide's description says:

QUALITY CONTROL: Carefully designed to avoid unnecessary story spoilers.

Based Kojima Productions always thinking about fans when they can't control themselves the developer gotta do it for them lol.

The guide has definitely leaked but it's being translated and even then people believe some of what has been translated is false. It's best to stay away though.
 
Is there a way to permanently eliminate guards without it counting as a kill besides throwing them off a cliff?

Yeah i know the guide has leaked and people get all the information from it, AFAIK the game itself hasn't leaked yet, that's why i said even the guide is out people still have a hard time putting the complete puzzle together thanks to KojiPro's QUALITY CONTROL.

Normally early reviews are great. But I don't want to see reviews this early without the game in my hands. Call me selfish, but it pains me to see good or bad reviews 1 week early. And that Kinda Funny let's plays will not be watched either.

That's a really wise choice.

But let it be known that once embargo goes down that it might be your way to stop going to the spoiler thread just in case! Make sure you go through this thread as to avoid a potential review that accidentally adds in a spoiler!
 
Bought and played Ground Zeroes on PC earlier today and it played like a dream. Decided to break my Playstation streak with this series, canceled my pre-order, and will get MGSV on PC.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE BE A GOOD PORT.

Yep. I can actually say that there are things in the game that cannot be spoiled even if the game is leaked. Hopefully I worded that well (trying my damnedest not to say anything that would be a spoiler; probably going to stop posting after this one)

Rest easy guys . Watch some gameplay videos and let your hype ascend into the Outer Heavens. I'm personally listening to the tapes in GZ. Never listened to them all.

Hold them up and have them lay down. They will only then get up in response to alarm.

Or, perform a cqc combo on them. In ground zeroes, this keeps them knocked out indefinitely until awakened by others.

the 500+ hour mgs stream marathon has kept my mind busy, but there are those momets where I am weak before I sleep tempting to look, DONT DO IT DAMN IT *slaps self*
