METROID PINBALL DS

Hey, I don't care what they call it, a new Nintendo pinball title is good news. As long as this is real pinball and not some Super Mario Ball thing.

Samus is playing pinball
Samus is kart racing
Samus is dancing
Samus is playing basketball
Samus is playing baseball

someone had to say it...

well, it's no more of a travesty than prime or prime hunters. and as a big fan of alien crush, i think this could be cool. as long as they're not letting the mario pinball people develop.

As much as I love Nintendo, Mario and Metroid I have to yell right now:

THIS ISN'T THE WAY TO GO, NINTENDO
WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

This whole whoring shit really starts to suck now. And no, I don't care if it's the best pinball game in the world (can't be - Pinball Dreams/ Illusions/ Fantasies on Amiga owns all) - putting Metroid (or Samus) in it IS BEYOND STUPID, a marketing idea only.

what?

shut up now.
Come on. drohne can't even come into a Nintendo thread, much less a Metroid thread, without mentioning how much Metroid Prime is the shittiest game ever made ever the in history of the universe kekekeke mmmmm peanut butter sammiches.

But yeah, this might be good if done right. Still: :lol

Actually Metroid was asking for pinball ever since Retro pulled off the physics in the Prime series so well. I'm looking forward to this, providing it uses the same 3d engine and has a (n)innovative edge to it. That would be pretty sweet.

Don't forget that successfully reworking a brand for a new genre is not milking/whoring! Doing it and ruining the brand is.

You know, I just want a beautiful 2D metroid adventure on the DS. Longer than any before it. And I don't want any goddamn pinball.

Did Typing of the Dead ruin the House of the Dead series? Seriously, Metroid Pinball could be extremely cool if done right. Imagine being able to lay bombs at any time...you could set up the most interactive boards ever seen in pinball, not to mention pinball battles with actual strategy involved (not just slamming the ball into an enemy). Throw in stuff like Spider Ball, and you've got a lot of creative space to work with.

Wait. You're comparing apples to oranges. HotD is like a peon to Metroid's majesty. They can't be used in relation to each other.

People are stupid. The are VIDEOGAMES. What the hell does it matter what they do with a game if it's good? I for one am looking forward to it. Some of you take games way too seriously. I want something along the lines of Devil's Crush. Here's for Nintendo getting it right.

I like this news!

Portable pinball has been raped and neutered with each successive attempt these past few years, and I do pray this won't follow suit. The DS is ripe for a pinball game, and the Metroid universe can be a pretty wonderful backdrop.

I've actually always wanted to play Typing of the Dead. Seems interesting, as well as a way to show off my mad typing skillz to all the ladies.

And...and you can tap and drag on the screen to pull the plunger! Think of the possibilities!

No, it took a German Doctor to do that...
You know what that's appropriate dark10x. I bet Nfans would actually defend Nintendo if they decided to let Uwe Boll make movies based on Nintendo franchises.

Yeah, and Nintendo owns them both.
I dunno, I haven't seem Mario Party J-League, Mario Party International, Maio Party Evolution and Mario Party Tactics spring up yet. :P

Nintendo resuses the same brands in a variety of games sure, but Konami/Capcom/Koei seem to release the same game repeatedly. :/
