In regards to the prosthetics, Miller was hardly ever talked about in the Solid Snake series anyway. Absence of evidence doesn't mean there was a retcon.
 
I was going to say "I think I'll need to wait and watch an English version to understand what's going on", but I probably still won't. Kojima'd.
 
oh my gosh I have no idea what happened but that was amazing. And haha at that release date.

Quiet looks bad ass, looks like Eli (Liquid) and Big Boss are going to have some father/son issues, they're going all in with the child soldiers thing and Skullface and Big Boss are working together?

I found the part where Big boss hands the child soldier a gun to shoot at Kaz with interesting. Was he giving him it due to conflict between BB and Kaz like many people speculate or because he was testing the guts of the kid?
 
Yeah I didn't like any of that. They've had good songs and trailers in the past too.

Was that Rex? What about the original Metal Gear?

It's weird for a MGS trailer that there wasn't any gameplay mixed in, hopefully we'll get an on stage demo later today.

Don't worry, last year the same thing happened. One version of the Red Band trailer was nothing but cutscenes, while the extended version had extra 4 minutes of gameplay in it. Same thing will probably happen with this trailer too.

Kojima already said the 30 minute gameplay demo will be shown behind closed doors, and will be posted online later.

This was only supposed to be a story trailer. Gameplay comes later. Didn't really feel like it "went to far" either. We already knew about all this stuff BB does at this time.
 
Loved it, that ending was violent. I see what he meant by some people might find it difficult to watch.

also this trailer just gives me so many unanswered questions.

They showed Outer heaven AND Motherbase 2 in that.

makes me wonder if maybe there will be multiple bases.

Also the song choice, cutscene work...oh my god I NEED THE ENGLISH VERSION DAMN.

SO FUCKING HYPED I AM GOING NUCLEAR GUYS.

C'mon now, think about it.

Big Shell was created to mimic Mother Base, Rex in MGS1 was probably created due to existing tech for the OG Rex in the 80's.

The Patriots/Zero don't seem like the type of people to not take what works or is already good enough.
 
Cool Mike Oldfield song, here's hoping On Horseback sneaks its way in somehow.
Also, that last scene makes me think the end of the story will be a full-on original Metal Gear game remake.
I really need to get over the whole VA thing.
