A perfect storm of incompetence, and it wasn't just Mattrick that was dragging them down at the time. And then some of those people went on to pollute other companies with the same stream of stupidity that just doesn't work. We absolutely suffer the effects to this day.

The most annoying counterpoint people like to make is that "these WERE games people, they weren't just suits - they were making games for years before this." Which… doesn't make them suddenly right to do what they did with the Xbone; it just makes them objectively stupid.

Watching Phil sacrificing game sales for Gamepass...and then not even that working out in the end is for sure much worse. The thing is, what Don did was instant...Phil is like a slow cancer eating away an entire business.

Considering he survived and was quite I dont want to say positive, but rather could see the positives of MS response to RRoD.....the Xbox One Reveal must have been something else.

The price reveal was the death knell of Xbox consoles......the damage was already done.
Going third party was all but guaranteed it was only a matter of time after that.

Lets see what the next Xbox is.....though im probably out of the Playstation/Xbox console battle.....as long as they keep porting to PC im stick with "shitty" Windows and brute force myself to a good experience.
