So ppl here are actually waiting for a shooter or two to be announced for xbox so they can decide not to buy it?
Wasn't there a thread about how PS3 has more shooters than xbox? *shrugs*.
This is how I see most gaming websites and forums.

I didnt start the Anti Pro argument. I was actually just trying to prove how dumb it is. -_-
I wasn't arguing with you. I just liked what you said and used it as a jumping off point. Hope that's OK![]()
They are saying they don't want more shooters.
Why? It doesn't mean they'll be announced at E3, that could be one a year for the next four years.I seriously doubt they are building four new big AAA core franchises.
Year of the PS3, Secret PS3 Game, etc.
Yeah, it's bollocks really. There are people who certainly favor specific platforms, but for the most part, people seem to call out shittiness, regardless of their preference of box.
I seriously doubt they are building four new big AAA core franchises.
Reading the first 11-12 posts I've come to realize that there's lots of Microsoft hate on this board.

Could one of our technical gurus replace Duck Season with Xbox and Rabbit Season with Playstation?
I was excusing nothing and saying a theory for why people think everyone is out for their system.
Its just people waking up to reality.

I wonder if Ryse will have RPG elements to it?
Didn't they move it to use the traditional controller in lieu of being completely Kinect focused?
They guy is one of the managers running the "Core" publishing initiative. Almost all the positions have already been filled (Some have been working there for two years signing deals). Most of their joblistings have this signature phrase:and on this note, let's discuss what these new could possibly be.
Microsoft Studios has a number of successful core franchises: Halo, Fable, Forza Motorsport, and Gears of War. Our job is to add new blood to this stable of AAA franchises.
That could be possible, but I don't think he would want to brag about that on his linkedin. Seems like more projects that are greenlighted. Is it possible that one of the IPs he's talking about is the cancelled Obsidian launch game?
I hope it's something worth even blinking at at not some abominable "new IP" crap like Kinect Sports. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has pretty much imploded as a gaming company and the Xbox has become wasteland territory for me. So I hope they can do something new and engaging.
There has been two attempts by Rare at a Banjo karting game so it could still be a possibility.Actually, Banjo Racing or something in a similar vain to Diddy Kong Racing would be awesome. I am guessing they may have missed that boat with Sonic Racing, LBP-Karts etc already out.
I really love Crytek, people shit on Crysis 2, and yeah, it was a big step back, but it's still amongst the best of the genre, and a real exclusive from them has to be a very cool push for a first party. If it's still Kinect, I'm not interested, but even if it is, it's going to look incredible.

There are some different projects floating around:
- New effort to create a franchise that blends the best elements of games and TV/film. Maybe related to their LA Studio, who is also kind of scouting for the same thing.
- The Core Games Publishing teams charter is to partner with the best developers in the world to create the next great core franchises for this generation and future generations of Xbox. Makes me think that they are not only looking at US or Canada based developers, but also Europe. Crytek's Ryse could also fit here.
- They are looking for a Senior Producer to drive the future of gaming through a hybrid of AAA core games and service-based experiences, technology, and business model.
- They are looking for a producer to work with Epic. Either could be the next Gears or new IP.
They were looking for Design Director with proven creative and leadership ability to work with external developers on Microsofts core titles, including shooters, RPGs, action/adventure, etc.
Good stuff but I doubt it'll shut up anyone who thinks MS doesnt care about them as a "core gamer".They guy is one of the managers running the "Core" publishing initiative. Definitely should have. Hopefully it was their version of Five-Hundred and Ninety Nine US Dollars. After Star Wars Kinect and Fable The Journey, isn't it possible that MS has learned a harsh lesson?
This is how I see most gaming websites and forums.

Yeah. It's like watching the trailer. All those great visuals and there is the Kinect fighting - it just does not fit together very well.

Yeah, thought so too. I wonder how that will fair with triple A games.
GAF has lost its shit.

Ryse was always said to be some sort of hybrid game using the Kinect and controller, recent rumors have it as a "better with Kinect" game.
Was it ever stated which studios the naughty Dog and Irrational guys MS hired are going to? I don't remember them stating they were for 343I.
