As a dad myself, I love to see that kind of unbridled joy from a kid.
Yeah. That's annoying. I wonder if Sony is going to go direct and compare how Xbox locks it away Playstation doesn't. Would be interesting.
Nothing on that infographic is a lie. That's good.
i thought the 300k servers thing was sketchy?
Guy filming the dad who's filming the kid.
Why does the video skip? What happened during the blindfold removal that you aren't showing us?!

just got an email for this.

Yes, it's definitely weird that MS would be filming people enjoying the Xbox One road show...
Not a lie. Just an implication of how you read it.Sort of. There's some misleading stuff in there.
- The 111 E3 awards bullet is meant to leave the impression that all of their exclusives cleaned up, when it was almost entirely Titanfall.
- 1080P/60FPS is meant to imply that all of those games will meet those criteria, but not so much. AFAIK, only Forza.
- Ditto "adaptive AI".
Technicality. Not a lie.i thought the 300k servers thing was sketchy?
"Supports 1080p/60 fps for cinematic realism"
Fucking lol.
Yeah. I got that email with the huge checklist image today, too. In fact, I've been getting a lot of Xbox marketing emails since the reveal. It's amusing following things closely on GAF and being able to see all the marketing spin in a lot of those bullet points.
In contrast, I don't think I've received a single marketing email from Sony regarding the PS4. But I don't remember if maybe I opted-out of emails from Sony and not Microsoft for my PSN and Live accounts respectively.
I keep seeing an Xbox ad that says something about magic.
Anyone have this in high res? I want to frame it.
You can do both.
You can run 4 apps and 1 game at the same time.
You can snap an app to an app, or an app to a game.

That infographic-style ad seems to be really pushing it. Those are the sorts of statements you usually see with a bunch of *'s and footnotes. How are they getting away with only having the one about Skype?
Maybe one of those calculated-risk scenarios where they could get backlash but it wouldn't be significant enough?

As a Dad yourself, you should be able to tell the difference between acting and a real reaction.
There are millions of kids around the world that will be over the moon at the xbox one launch day, but this one isnt one of them.

I'd love this to be true but I don't think it is...
There are GAMES and there are APPS
GAMES take up the vast majority of system performance. You can only have one game running at a time.
APPS work differently. They run in their own VM, and you can have several different Apps running at the same time (I think it's 4, but don't hold me to that). They take away NO performance from Games.
So you can instantly switch between Apps, and you can snap Apps to Games. You do just about any combination EXCEPT two full games.
The Xbox One can run four apps at the same time in the background. Switching between them is not unlike how it would work on your mobile phone. It's instant... While you can run multiple apps, only one game can be run at one time.
It could be that I'm extremely tired but I don't understand what you're talking about.
Fuck. Yes.
