Microsoft Rewards |OT| Get Game Pass for free

Been on the 15 minute cooldown for a while and today they bumped it up to 30 minutes cooldown. What the heck!

I've been limited for months now. 1 day last week it was removed and then the very next day I was limited again.

Worst part is that even with the cooldown I sometimes get robbed of one of my searches and only get 15 points instead of 20.

Both things happened to me.

I have a hunch.

I'm pretty sure I know what triggers the 4 searches being cut short. It can even be 5 out of the 20. And I wonder if this is related to what causes the limited searches in the first place.
While on the limited 4 searches, if you do say... one search, then claim points from xbox app on mobile, or try one of the extra bonus bing searches like open roles at a company, that's when it will lock me out of the remainder of my 4 limited searches. It seems like some kind of bad interaction.

I'm going to try doing only the searches first, nothing else until they are complete. Hopefully that will keep me out of trouble in the future.

so all game pass is being removed? or just the auto-redeem game pass? looking at that statement i thought it'd be just the auto-redeems, but those steps say to use an xbox gift card to buy game pass. weird.

sad to see regardless
 
I think I might have been claiming rewards multiple times this week. I've gotten xbox messages on my phone and claimed rewards. Then I also get notifications on my PC and I claim rewards.
I have not been paying attention to what was being claimed but I've never seen so many rewards in such a short amount of time.
Is this a glitch or am I just playing more than usual?

I didn't get an email, but I saw that 3 month renewal is gone. and Auto for one month is 17000, while regular renewal is 12000. Looks like the GP train is over.
 
Gift card for XBOX is only available in $10 increments. That will need to change.

It shows Xbox gift cards in all increments including custom amounts for me still. Not that it matters since Im still on fucking cool down lol

Just a heads up, not sure if it's iOS 26 or MS but there was an update to the Bing app (for me at least) and now the age old problem that the Rewards tab in Bing is now missing so you cannot do your daily shit in the app.

Not saying it's affected everyone, not commenting on Android either as I don't use it - but be careful out there.

Seems I have Game Pass games that are playing themselves. I've had several days where I wake up and see notifications of points earned on my app from playing but I haven't played anything. Strange

Do you play on PC ?

There's a bug since months, you have to restart two services for it to stop saying you are playing games.

In the Task Manager, Services tab, search for the two "Gaming service" and restart both, I have to do it every time I leave an Xbox game...
It messed up many of my games' play time.

Yeah, PC. I'll check my playtime and see what it says. When I'm not playing a game on Game Pass, I'll leave a game running daily for 15 minutes or so to get the points.

Oh I've had that for a couple of weeks.

Whenever I check the app, I've played Solitaire in real life but app says Halo Master Chief Collection.

However what's pissing me off rewards wise is that one for 1000 where you have to do it every day and if it resets it resets the lot. It's the very top 2 - 7 days a week or sommat, 3 searches and check in.

Don't my services start every time I turn on my computer? Or you mean they are stopped due to the bug

That makes more sense to me, sorry 😂

I mean the bug is caused by those services (or maybe only one of them) reporting that you are still playing even if the game is closed, restarting them clears the bug.

The issue happens when leaving your computer on, the services report that you are still playing an Xbox game.
If you restart your computer it should not report that you are playing the game as the services get restarted.

You can check if the issue happens after quitting an Xbox game on PC, go to your profile in the Xbox App, it should say "Online", then after a couple of minutes it should get back to the game you were playing (while the game is not running). Restart both services and it will go back to "Online" after a few seconds.

EDIT: Yeah, both are running, still says I've been playing Halo when I've really been playing cards mind you.
