"We are aware of the comments made by an employee on Twitter. This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views are not reflective of those of the company. We have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter."
Yeah, so awa64's comment that this thread is full of shit posts that discount any valid discussion is suspiciously similar to Arthur's tweet that anything surrounded by shit comments is automatically disqualified.
Just sayin'.

The first is only after 5,000 replies. The second is a godly gif that awa64 is getting too rattled about.

We are aware of the comments made by an employee on Twitter. This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views are not reflective of those of the company. We have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter.
[Update] We received an official statement from Microsoft, via the company's PR firm Edelman, concerning the tweets sent by Microsoft Studios' creative director Adam Orth last evening.
The statement reads as follows:
"We are aware of the comments made by an employee on Twitter. This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views are not reflective of those of the company. We have not made any announcements about our product roadmap, and have no further comment on this matter."
I'm pretty sure I've never seen a more inept gaming personality at dealing with their customers than Arthur Gies. It's really weird, as gamers are their customers so he should be at least a little receptive to their thoughts. Not necessarily agreeing with them, but no need for blanket denial. It's almost like he sees his true customers as the gaming companies....and maybe that's the real issue with a site like Polygon.

That's good and all and I of course encourage you should go through Edelman, but if you want an answer that isn't "No comment" you unfortunately have to choose a bit rockier path. Hopefully a better answer will come automatically. Thanks for the update.I received an official statement from Microsoft a few minutes ago, via their PR agency Edelman:
