Seems like Miitomo was finally launched in my country with this update. That's nice, I guess. Not that it's very interesting, and I already have more silver coins on My Nintendo than I know what to do with.

the update has really upended the entire formula, it's fascinating

both answering questions and viewing answers have been shifted to a menu and made much faster

my favourite thing is how you see a glimpse of your friends' miis and their rooms when viewing their answers

the experience is a lot more intuitive I think

Only downside that there's no longer a tab to show the amount (and dates) of another person's unrevealed answers... which wasn't actually very useful to begin with, but it made looking up user activity and deciding to delete them or not a lot more easier.

yeah you can post answers and outfits to a public forum now (Style Central and Answer Central) and interact with anyone there

I'm having trouble with the new Timeline/Chatter thing. I used to just go over there and go down the list until no more red dots showed up. Now I'm having trouble finding/following conversations and new answers I hadn't even read yet appear there and stuff. I'm so confused. It used to be easy following answer conversation threads.

i think "Chatter" is what used to be the old conversations thing

the new Timeline is just a list of recent answers from your friends

Yes, my impression as well.


You don't get any more coins for reading 10 answers, but you get coins for sending 3 messages. Eh, at least now it's deterministic. Using the Centrals gives no coins at all, I'm cool with that, then it'll be once per day.

But man, I can't find a way to respond to a pm later on. I can only answer right there at that first opportunity.

That kind of sucks. It incentivized actually looking at other answers. There doesn't seem to be any reward now for looking at other people.

Looks like height is a Miiphoto. Yet, seeing as the poster places aren't centred, you can't fit them perfectly anyway.

Seems like Miitomo was finally launched in my country with this update. That's nice, I guess. Not that it's very interesting, and I already have more silver coins on My Nintendo than I know what to do with.

Still nothing in Greece. Quite frustrating... It's unlike Nintendo to leave countries out with absolutely no reasoning. It's not like there's a massive server load like with Pokémon GO and we're long past the market-testing phase. The game should at least have been able in all traditional Nintendo regions.

Is there a quick way to find peoples birthdays? It notifies me of several birthdays on the same day, but as soon as you send a message to one of the people, it seems impossible to get that list back again. Instead I end up scrolling through hundreds of people to find the others. Cheers

Not when you only have two friends, with one of them mostly inactive. By the way, you mean the MyN silver and not the Miitomo coins, right?


So apparently you now can, in addition to Fates-style petting, grab Miis by the head and throw them a bit sideways. That's it. If there's more to it, I of missed it.

It's due to the Timeline feature.
Now to read people's questions you just slide down and see everybody's answers, so reading 10 or however many now takes no effort whatsoever.
Earning 10 coins with a single flick of a finger is obviously too easy so I understand the change.

But I want to use the Chatter thing to keep up with discussion threads. So whenever I try to go to Chatter it loads Timeline first and I basically just miss a bunch of answers or I have to commit to scrolling down and reading every single new one even though I'm not ready to read or comment on new answers yet.

Miitomo coins. Basically the old My Nintendo daily synergizes with the daily Miitomo coin bonuses you get for leaving comments. Kinda like how the daily "answer 3 questions" synergizes with the bonuses you get for answering questions.

Good god. The way the daily login bonuses work is infuriating. Instead of checking per calendar day (which would be the sensible way to do it ), it actually waits until 24 hours have past. But I don't get a chance to time it like that every day. For a Nintendo product, there are some awful design decisions. Why can't I bulk add friends, or bulk delete pending invites for example? Ugh.
