Actually, there is a way to send a miifoto to friend, if you get a "between us" question, no one will see your answer.

My interest is starting to plummet because conversations seem to have less sustainability and visibility than even Twitter, except I can't just look at the more active "threads" of strangers. Out of the, maybe, +300 answers/conversations I've seen, only a couple handful were interesting and full of replies. And I wonder how long the placing of Miis into pictures is going to remain novel and interesting; that's the part everyone seems to be most in love with.

The hell are you doing daily to get up to 13k coins O.o

I haven't gone for butter hat yet, but if its anything like cat scarf you just wait for the mii to be as horizontal as possible, and time it with the platform moving away from you, and you should be alright. We need a spreadsheet for drop game strats, shits hard.


I hope they start adding more stuff, not just stuff to buy, just, more everything. More minigames, more miifoto things (basic colored geometry, more silly backgrounds, more poses and expressions, etc)

And performance improvements... I'm SURE we don't need to refresh menus and sync every single input. Slows the whole thing down, which is a bummer when trying to add people to friends
 
I just tried this and I actually liked it more than I thought I would. Not sure if it will stay in my phone for long, but so far I love the possibilities of Miifoto :D

And the music...THE MUSIC. So Koji Kondo-ish. LOVE it.
 
Finally got the Twitter link to work so I put myself on the list and followed some people I recognize. Let's see what happens.

I just keep opening and closing the app till it shows up on my mii's speech bubble.
That or answering a few questions and stopping to see what new question it'll ask me.
 
Okay, so maybe this is just on my end (Android), but I'm running into this problem where Miitomo won't tell me conversations have updated until I've clicked on the chat, see the same responses, then back out - only then does the red dot appear and the new responses appear when I click it again. It's quite a hassle and this is my favorite part of the app.

If you have a second device, like a tablet or something, just make a second Mii (you don't even need to make a Nintendo account, you can play without it). If you only have one friend (yourself) on that cheese account you can just cycle through all your answers without candy and just heart and comment them pretending to be someone else.
 
So my wife got this and I added her but 24 hours later and I haven't seen a single update but she has done 25+ questions.

What decides what you see, and why is the recent activity now chronological?

basically recent activity is bumped any time someone hearts or comments on a post you have seen

the only ways to get updates on your friends are to talk to your Mii, or to go to their rooms and give them candy
 
There's something messed up with my twitter/Miitomo connectivity. Anytime I try to post a miifoto from the app, everything looks like it works fine, but it never actually posts it on twitter. And I've had a few people who seem to be from NeoGAF start following me, and they have Miitomo posts in their history, but they're not showing up on the "add friends" list even after I refresh it. I tried disconnecting twitter from Miitomo and adding it again, but I get the same problems. I'm using an iPhone 5S, iOS 9.3.1.

I have a similar issue. I also very rarely get updates on new comments and stuff. Occasionally I will get a mass update where I will be able to see a bunch of comments on other answers from hours ago.

Is this a problem on my end or is it just how the app works?

If you "talk" to your Mii, sometimes they'll ask if you want to share your photo with your friends - usually this will come up after you change clothes. Otherwise, your only option is to share via social media. You can also always save the photo to your phone and can send to friends without the app using other means.
