Nobody answered when I asked this earlier in the thread, but maybe you could chime in. Isn't it possible that hormone therapy itself during puberty can provide an advantage in that a transgendered girl may develop more womanly features than a born girl who only produces an average amount of the hormones naturally?

Below average hormones -> below average development
Average hormones -> average development
high dose of hormones -> average development with high chance of breast cancer.

If you want a "fun" trivia, high dose of testosterone gets converted into estrogen, wich explains why muscle people who takes drugs develops breasts

So, no matter what sex you have, you will only develop what your genes wants you to develop unless you have below average hormones

I read once that most trans women develop below the average of the girls of their family, but the site didn't had a source so i'm not sure exactly how tested is that

Ya I think beauty pageants are stupid in general and shouldn't exist because it just makes girls insecure and want plastic surgery.

However, the woman in this particular case is pretty hot, so surgery apparently works wonders.

Actually a while ago I posted a thread that touches on this subject The short answer is that it's best for a variety of reasons for a trans person to at least delay puberty while they make sure they want to do this, and then begin their hormone therapy both to prevent the development of psychologically distressing features associated with their biological sex and to as you suggest develop the features associated with their gender more fully.

Here's another article about a 16 year old German girl when she transitioned

She's gorgeous, but like others have said, she's had plenty of plastic surgery to improve upon every aspect of her body, and that's not fair for the other contestants.

The Miss USA pagent (owned by the same company as this) gave a contestant $5200 for breast enhancement. It's kind of hypocritical to now claim a contestant got an advantage from surgery.

Yes
And she probably had way less surgery than you are thinking

...WHAT ?

Do you REALLY think that the other contestants didn't had as much surgery as her ?

I thought there were rules on it, or something. Lol, I don't pay attention to beauty pageants.

So how does the trans surgery work? Does she have a functional vagina? If you had sex with her, would you even know the difference?

I'd disqualify her on the basis that she was lying.

If she had disclosed her issue when she applied, then the issue would be dealt at that point. She can sue them if they won't let her in to begin with. But since she was hiding it, I wouldn't let her be in any public position.

My understanding is with a good surgeon SHE may or may not have sensation but you would essentially never know the difference. A trans person can probably give you a better answer though.

But if she doesn't feel anything, why would she want to have sex?

Thanks.

I know the science in House tends to be shitty, but this whole thing really makes me think of that episode with the model--the punchline being that it takes a man to be the perfect woman.

Depends on the girl I suppose. My guess is that most of the times the girl would have normal sensation though, at least with a good surgeon. It's just that sometimes things go wrong and that might be an issue.

Was that the episode with the jailbait model who was molested by her manager who didn't know she was a boy?

It was her father. She seduced him so she could blackmail him whenever she wanted to get away with anything :lol

This is kind of where all of the arguments about being transgender lead: is or isn't it lying. How you answer that question then usually shows what your overall opinion of those who are transgender is.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like we're going to come to an agreement on that question anytime soon.

Not that I can yet speak from experience, but I'm pretty sure I know transgirls who have had that surgery and who still have feeling in their new lady parts. Think a lot of it depends on who you go to for the surgery and how good they are at it.

It's only "a fact" if you have difficulties understanding the differences between gender and sex. They are factually not the same thing.

Not involved in the debate, but that is not true.

OED defines Gender with a cross-reference to Sex. Gender was used as a synonym for sex once the word "sex" started being used more casually to refer to sexual intercourse.

So, you can understand that some people may not share the same lexicon as you, right?

I'm not arguing for treating transgender people any differently than they wish to be treated; however, there is a lot of ambiguity with the terminology, since the widespread understanding and acceptance of gender dysphoria is relatively infantile.

If she had legally changed her gender (and I doubt there's a space in the forms they have to fill out asking if she had been a different gender before), she wouldn't have been lying or hiding anything. Certainly not within the space of this competition.
