Katie Sharp @ktsharp: Kyle Schwarber is 1st player in MLB history to hit 5 HR at age 22 or younger in a single postseason.

Bottom part of the zone is all over the place right now. Could have sworn one of those balls to Soler was a strike a few minutes ago.

He didn't neèd to throw that pitch to Schwarber with nobody on base in the first inning.

Hendricks has THREE changeups? That is some Ace of The Diamond shit.

The Chicago Cubs all-time postseason home run leader is … Kyle Schwarber.

deGrom has 4 fastballs. Not that shocking.

Schwarber's approach might be a good idea for Rizzo tonight. Hunt fastball on the outer part of the plate. Let the ball travel a bit deeper, gives them plenty of time to see it then send it opposite field and let the wind carry it. Both guys are strong enough to do that all night.

The thing about doing that is with deGrom his fastball has such late life that you can't sit on one trailing out because it could shift back in on you.

Here's what ESPN said about Schwarber after he was drafted:
As surprising as the previous two picks were -- to me, anyway -- this one is more surprising. I'm surprised that Theo Epstein and company would reach for a player such as this with a top-five pick. Schwarber has plus power and an above-average hit tool, but he's almost assuredly going to have to move to first base, where the Cubs appear to be set for a while with Anthony Rizzo. If Schwarber can catch, he could be in Wrigley by summer 2016, but that seems like a long shot.
Just a little bit off.

With such a massive shift why they dont fake a bunt to bring him in to the edge of the grass to give themselves a better chance at a single idk. You dont actually have to bunt just make them think u might

Because the Mets can't bunt, this question has been asked every game this playoffs and the answer is always the same. They can't bunt.

Yeah, I'm more pointing out how much faster he moved than was expected. Just shows how hard scouting is.

Oh yeah for sure. He obliterated every level from SS-A to AA ball in like, 6 months.

If the Cubs didn't have Mike Baxter, this probably doesn't happen and he's not playing lol. Weird how baseball works.
