Franchise records and no hitters should not be deciding factors. Overall season stats should and Kershaw is right there if not better than Arrieta. Arrieta has Kershaw beat in run prevention (ERA) and that is about it.
Kershàw is still king.

Kershaw has been leagues better than Arrieta (or any other pitcher in MLB this year) and it's probably not even close.
I imagine Arrieta and Greinke split the 2nd and 3rd place votes, maybe getting a 1st place vote here and there as well

Really don't understand the need to "let people get their work in" when you're trying to win games.
The bottom of the lineup up sucks shit right now. Pennington is a garbage hitter but he's still better than Bannerman Kawasaki.

I'm a fan of using the numbers and Kerhsaw has the numbers. Arrieta is having a fantastic season but Kershaw is having one also.

It's a shame Arrieta is having one of the best seasons by a Cubs pitcher ever, while Kershaw continues to dominate.

I mean, I'm a Cardinals fan, and don't particularly like the Dodgers at all, but Kershaw is the best pitcher on the planet and having maybe his best season yet
Greinke is only having the best season if you look at ERA, he's probably the 3rd best behind Kershaw and Arrieta if you look at peripherals. Still gonna get paid this offseason though
I kinda feel bad for pitchers in the NL, because Kershaw is just so good. If he wins this year it'll be his 4th CY yeah?

Now I am no Yankees fan but I miss the Betances from the first half. His stuff was incredible (still is) but it seems like he struggles constantly now since he gets used so fucking much, when it was an automatic 1-2-3 inning earlier in the season
