MLB Offseason '13-'14 |OT| Where the best fans live

So my wife was going to surprise me with a trip to either Arizona or San Diego this summer to see the Phillies, but it turns out they dont play any games in either June of July on the west coast this year. I cant believe that MLB doesnt schedule summer west coast trips for all the teams.

For the GAF draft on Wednesday, I won't be able to attend. I work 4pm-12am. I've never done a Yahoo draft before. Is there any way to setup an auto-draft pattern like I can for ESPN? Like Round 1, pick the best available batter and so on?
Yes. You can make a list of players and auto-draft. The link is in the notes on the league page. I've had some good teams with Yahoo's auto-draft. It works pretty good.

You'd think they'd be able to take your family vacation into account when schedule 5200 games. How hard can that be, anyway?

The amount of pitchers that have already been lost is staggering.
It's starting to get a little ridiculous. These guys can't even last a month? Makes me wonder about the fitness training. When there's so many millions involved, they need to emphasize getting some arm stamina from these fragile snowflakes.

I think it's just that the procedure has become routine preventative medicine at this point, not that guys are getting weaker.

More likely the wrong type of fitness training. They're trying to get little extra velocity and a little more movement on the offspeed stuff. They need to back off from that fine line of extreme performance to save the arm.

That tubby workhorse with the 4 ERA and 200 IP is starting to be a lot more valuable. The thoroughbred is useless if he can't finish the race.

Dude not cool, CC lost the weight.

Insane game from Grady today. Will be interesting to see how long the duct tape holds together.

I'm sick of the stupid fans who are grabbing at JBJ's dick. If Grady is healthy, you start him and have Bradley work his way in. It's just common sense.

Speaking of, I'm like 90% certain Strasburg is going to need another TJ. Probably this year.

You heard it here first. Strasburg has been Cygnus'd. Cygnus using his powers for good for a change!

I agree. JBJ will get his shot due to injury or whatever at some point this year.

That and he will be sharing some time with Nava likely.

Still, who knows if Sizemore will work. I thought it was a fantastic signing. His max potential is possibly better than anyone in our outfield. At worst? He is back in Pawtucket or DL.

Grady Seizemore your starting CF? C'mon son.

What's your point?

It's 2014

Last year and being what, 38? with no range for the past half decade?
He hasn't had any range for nearly the entirety of his career and him being injured last year doesn't make him injury prone like Sizemore.

But at least you guys have options other then Sizemore, whereas we have Nuñez...

But he is 6—7 years his elder coming back from that injury. Difference is the Sox have a viable back up strategy.

You guys are deluding this conversation to where it doesn't need to go. There is an obvious difference between Jeter and fucking Grady Sizemore.

Sizemore is risk free. His max potential is absolutely fantastic, he isn't limited in his play to this point, and he has looked good.

Jeter isn't risk free. If he goes down, it's Eduardo Nunez time. So, it'll please the couple Yankee fans on here who have told me that Nunez is a future perennial All-Star.

If there was an actual risk to Sizemore dying, then there might be a point. If he is healthy and playing to his potential, throw him in the field until he dies.

Other than crazy ass weekend warrior, who else thought Nunez would be a good player?

Kris medlen will undergo a second Tommy John surgery tomorrow midday. Beachy is going to LA for second opinion from Dr. Elattrache

still hurt about this.

will gain confidence one day
Meds is such a nice guy and so talented, so yeah it's pretty shitty. I hope he decides to rehab and makes it back on the field someday.

Has Nunez ever been given 500-600 ABs in the majors? I think he can be a serviceable player if he had a glove, but that's the problem with him.

There is a reason why he hasn't been given that. Nunez exists soley because they have control over him and he plays at such a consistent slightly below average level, they rather not risk burning out a potential project.

Also, I don't think they have any projects at the position who are even close.
