MLB Playoffs 2017 OT:It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Windu

never heard about the cat, apparently
The intent of the rule is fine, but there has to be a better way that prevents a play like that being overturned. Maybe just make it up to the home umpire's judgment.

i don’t love the rule but culbersons approach could have been totally different with the old rules

you can’t just say it would be the same exact play and he’s out

Whoever that Color commentator is; he is so ignorant towards the meaning behind that rule. You want Contreas to get friken bulldozed at the knee?
Not defending the commentator, But Contreras with that move he did was risking injury to himself and/or The runner.
Kenley has gone more than an inning numerous times this season. Plus we don't have to worry about Baez anymore. Phew...
I mean any other mamager would had left Watson given the leed.

Not gonna lie, plate collisions were super fun but is not something I ever notice is gone or that I'd ever miss. I can't fathom being so mad at the rule.

I mean, your president thinks the NFL is soft with all the safety rules. Yeah, dumb ass dudes love the idea of ruining other people's health for fun. Just look at Pete Rose.

That play wouldn't have gone down the same way if the rule didn't exist because Culberson would have barreled into Contreras and shredded his knee.

Roberts lately has been using Cingrani and Watson as lefty specialist. He's all in on matchups now

Hmmm

Ron Darling is and always has been a terrible announcer. Can't stand him. Shows here that he doesn't understand the rules, and in Game 5 of the Cubs/Nats series he showed that he doesn't even know the rules. Wieters was complaining about getting knocked in the mask with the bat, meaning the ball should have been dead by rule, and Darling flat out said he'd never heard that was a thing and the broadcast just moved on.

Lacking charisma and knowledge. Just a blowhard who likes to sound authoritative about everything, which some producers still think make a good announcer, but I think his time is over.

People don't even remember that the rule was passed 3 years later after *another* guy got hurt in the playoffs
I got into an argument, because I said that the rule is there for safety and they were like “it’s still a garbage rule.....”

Suprise surprise. The people saying this rule is dumb supports the man who is more than willing to allow NFL players to get CTE.
