I would be absolutely shocked if Stanton and Ricky Nolasco were still Marlins after the trade deadline.
He hit 30 playing in that big ass ball park in Miami. I'm sure there's other teams that are willing to offer more than The Mets.

Likely landing places by your estimation? What team is likely to be competitive, has a good farm system and a hole in the outfield?
Fuck Bud Selig for refusing to meet with the mayor of San Jose. You piece of shit.

I thought you were an Oakland guy.

You and I both know that San Jose doesn't deserve a Major League Baseball team.
It's a real crap city.
yeah but so is Oakland.
There are some cool parts of Oakland. There are no cool parts of San Jose.
Baseball stadiums have been known to create cool parts in cities. The area around Camden Yards was the most deadly ghetto in America before they stuck a baseball stadium there. Now it's the coolest part of Baltimore.
I don't know if that would work in San Jose.
As soon as you enter Silicon Valley you feel an overwhelming tidal wave of boring that even a baseball stadium can't overcome.

Josh Beckett should be tossed in the nearest trash can outside of the stadium. As a Dodger fan, I never thought I'd be able to say that Carl Crawford was the steal of that huge deal with the RS. Josh Beckett, on the other hand...UGH...

6 k's per walk since 2008 for Romo. Career Whip is .87. I love Romo
The SF Giants broadcast mic is surrounded by drunk Cubs bros.
Dammit Cubs. You had one job.
Anything can happen in the wide world of baseball. Anything. All who have attempted to take down the Giants have failed*. Why would you believe the Cubs had a shot?
*Except Scott Cousins
Gerrit Cole was bounced from his second start of the season due to an elevated pitch count. Cole threw 63 pitches in two innings, with 42 strikes. He left his last outing after four innings, leaving early due to a high pitch count in the fourth frame. In either case, hes not helping people who are arguing that he should be in the majors today.
STRIKE THREE CALLED! GIANTS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT!
I hereby change my NL Cy Young prediction to Sergio Romo!
Someone should really put up a new image of current MLB-Gaffers.Yay, <3 Giants so far this year. Now if Only get my name up as a giants fan on

I've been waiting for awhile as well. I think Sanjuro would rather burn in hell than update it.

Your probably right, I've been asking at least once a season since 2010 or earlier and it just doesn't happen. Oh wells.
I would give up the Yankees' entire farm system for Stanton.
Erase the Mets, there's no way they're giving up Harvey/Wheeler/D'Arnaud.At this point, the most likely candidates are probably the Rangers, Mariners or Mets, with the Pirates or Orioles as sleepers.
