MLB to experiment with new extra inning rules in minor leagues this coming season

Just go to a point system and have ties or one extra inning at most before calling a draw. I feel that is way better than this solution.

They should just load the bases, batting team automatically has 2 outs, and give the batter a full count and the pitcher can only throw one pitch.

Just institute a pitch clock and a digital strike zone. Problem solved with games going too long.

And being the DH to the NL while you are making changes.

Just in case other people didn't know this, they're already instituting pitch clocks in the minors (just like they're saying they will do with this rule). That's probably going to end up happening in the next 3-5 years.

Because everyone one loves watching players who don't get to practice hitting have to strike out three times a game at the plate.

Actually, the plus side comes from the extra strategy involved. Who do you want to pitch next inning? Who do you want to hit? Is there someone on base so we can sac bunt them?

There's more to this than you give it credit.

This sounds like some fuckery.

It is kinda wack when innings go on forever, but I dunno if this is the answer.
