hahahahahahahahaha W. Machine stopped Huerta

Make that 9 Jim Millers out of 10.

Baiting Fedor fans, get ready to reel them in.

...? Ninja Scooter had to have been talking about Jeff "The Snowman" Monson. But honestly he should have more respect for the 2x ADCC champion. There's no shame in losing to the great Fedor, even if you are an elite grappler. Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii will have the honor soon enough.

Hey man, there's no shame in losing to one of the greatest heavyweight submission grapplers of all time. Especially when The #1 Heavyweight of All Time is getting armbarred by Joaquim Ferreira and The #1 MMA Fighter of All Time is getting heel hooked by Ryo Chonan.

Just looked at the date to make sure it wasn't 2004.

You're right though, we're too hard on the #1 Russian Heavyweight of all time. We should take in account his advanced age and not everyone can keep up their prime at the antique age of 33 years old and up.

Yeah, you know, losing to unranked fighters when they were in their late 20's?

I guess we could start getting into the countless fighters who are shells of their former selves in their 30's. Age is more than a number. Contrary to popular belief, Fedor is in fact a mortal who has declined in skill with age.

Oh, this discussion again.

This is all Ninja Scooter's fault god dammit!

Hahahaha...all roads lead to Ninja Scooter.

I'm ready to go to war Chamber. I'm mounting my defense of endless statistics as we speak!

The greatest rematch since WSM vs. The Colossus is upon us.

You're right, the "JDS or Cain" argument was a fatal blow last go-around. Time to cut our losses and accept sound logic.

Anyone else see about ONE FC and Dream's cross-promotion deal?

http://onefc.com/news/25-one-fc-and-dream-join-forces.html

Asia’s largest MMA promotions, ONE Fighting Championship™ and DREAM, have entered into a mutually exclusive partnership, signifying another monumental inflection point for the sport of MMA in Asia. Specifically, ONE Fighting Championship and DREAM have agreed to co-promote events together and have also agreed to fighter exchanges. Fighter exchanges are expected to happen with immediate effect. It means that any ONE FC fighter will automatically be eligible to compete on DREAM and any DREAM fighter will automatically be eligible to compete on ONE FC. In addition, the first co-promotion is tentatively scheduled for March 31 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in the name of “ONE FC / DREAM in Singapore,” subject to approval by media partners and other third parties. In the future, both parties will also work together to co-promote events in Japan to evolve the sport of MMA in Asia.

Victor Cui, CEO/Owner of ONE Fighting Championship, said, ”I am thrilled by this partnership. Japan has the highest level of MMA fighters in Asia due to its long history in the sport. DREAM is the most prestigious event in Japan. With this partnership, ONE Fighting Championship and DREAM will continue to showcase the most exciting fights between the best fighters in Asia. I am truly excited by the potential of this partnership to create new opportunities for fighters, gyms, sponsors, advertisers, and media partners.”

Keiichi Sasahara, Event Producer of DREAM, said, “DREAM and ONE Fighting Championship will work together to lead the sport of MMA in Asia to a better future. DREAM has some of the best fighters in the world and we also have deep experience of putting on world-class events. ONE Fighting Championship has the largest media platform in Asia and many other assets. I see many great synergies with this partnership. It is certainly a new era for everyone in Asian MMA.”

Saw this on mmajunkie ...

"Mariusz Pudzianowski's controversial majority-decision win over James Thompson in this past weekend's KSW 17 co-headliner has been changed to a no-contest.

Company officials today cited a judge's error for the change."

WHAT A FOOKIN' JOKE.

Guess they had a secret press conference. Either that or heel916 is dropping the ball on the alerts!

Haha yeah I'm slippin', had no idea.

Do Japanese crowds boo? They probably just won't cheer.

The crowds have been getting a little louder in recent years, but they really don't boo during fights. A very select few get booed as they enter the ring (Akiyama being one of them).

Maybe the UFC will draw a crowd that's a little more rowdy and Americanized.

Huh, that's interesting. I think besides the new years Dream where I try to tough it out, I haven't really watched entire Japanese cards, just a few fights here and there. Are you updating us when there are Japanese events?

I'm surprised Edgar vs. Henderson is the main event in Japan, I figured they would have had a big fight with Rampage there, but it didn't turn out that way.

There are Japanese cards most every weekend, but they're never televised or streamed for America as far as I know. Believe me I've looked. A channel called Samurai TV in Japan airs a lot of cards, so they do show up on the net if you know where to look.

HDNet should hook up with more international shows, especially in Japan and Brazil. I'd rather watch that than half of the midwestern can circuit promotions they've teamed up with. Probably too expensive if I had to guess.

Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (“the UFC®”), today released information stating that middleweight fighter Chris Leben tested positive for Oxycodone and Oxymorphone following his Nov. 5 loss to Mark Munoz in the main event of UFC® 138 in Birmingham, England.

As a result of the positive test, Leben will be suspended from fighting for one (1) year.

Always something with this fatherless bastard.

Japan card has one hell of an undercard, on paper at least. The main event is very likely to be an exciting one too. Really hope the card doesn't get hit by the injury bug.

The thing about this quote that is most surprising. Even though I saw this fight, there's still a disconnect for me. Leben Munoz main event. Didn't poly or someone predict this as a joke and then it came true?
