Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans S2TEKKADAN is MURDERERS, HAIL GHALLARJORN

I feel like S2 Orphans has finally begun in earnest after this last episode. Sure, Aston bought the farm a few episodes back was rather OK, but finally we have some action to look forward to.

Also the deflected beam can actually reach the farm compound, even after Ride tanked most of the beam's focus point? Splash damage is a bitch.

Godamnit Julieta, couldn't you just let Iok die please?

So disappointed that the Vidar/Chocolate man confrontation built up to nothing.

Oh and loving the new addition of Flauros, what a beast.

While I appreciate that Vidar called McGillis out to the point where he didn't even have a comeback.... That is some WWE Promo shit in robbing us of a proper fight. And all that just so Vidar can babysit Iok because Iok is too stupid to live and would kill himself via kitchen silverware at this point if it meant "Revenge (tm)."

Flaruos is cool though, even though I cannot stand Shino.

Nah, Barbatos is entering THE ZONE.

Wow Ride gave the best moment well apart from Yamagi riding on Shino, and that moment when he was all blushing. The younger folks Takaki, Ride, and Yamagi have all really done well for themselves this season.

I hope Ride gets to keep this mobile suit.

lol they hyped Vidar vs Chocolate Man but they just talked

They didn't really talk, Gaelio/Vidar dropped a truth bomb and for once the know-it-all chocolate man couldn't say shit.

I'm glad that they had no intention of having Galieo hide who he was from McGillis, but yeh I still can't help but feel like "I waited a whole week just for a few sentences and them sidelining him to babysit Iok?"

I also noticed that Gaelio appears to call McGillis on a private line and his voice doesn't have the filter Vidar's normally does.

While i would have liked to see a fight, I'm also semi glad that they had him prioritise the mission when Julietta called him — keeping with the idea that his anger & pursuit for revenge are still underpinned (balanced?) with the nobility that's always been part of his character.

Way to deflate my hype there Vidar... but of god did it pick up with Shino's Gundam, super OP from the get go. Really thought Ride was gonna die for sure, too many close calls recently, also Chad worried me with his solo attack! But dang what a cliffhanger with Barbatos, can't not wait for next week!!! Macky looks mad in the preview, maybe Julieta was the one that finished the mobile armor off and set ChocoChar's plan back. Mika better not die next week.

The moment this popped up, knew DTL would post something about it. xD

And only when Chocoman has his final suit will he fight Vidar. C'mon with the Ein AI reveal though! Really loving the autonomous MA hunting aspect of IBO these past couple of eps. Still remember when people thought it was backpack unit, hah. Also, RIP to Barbatos and Guison not having "transformations."

I still don't know why some were clowning me or doubting the whole animal transformation thing.

NEXT WEEK WHEN?! This was so cool! That Flauros firing moment huuuuum so good!

Barbatos has some of the best entering battle like a badass moment from like all of gundam.

The YamagixShino pairing is teased so much, but I think the pairing works at least and they are cute together.

Also can Iok just die? Stop saving the dude FFS!

all caught up.

Gillis could of easily married Carta and made a powerful alliance with his friend Galio. Then used Tekkaden to help him wage war for power of the seven stars. but I guess he really wanted to be the last man standing.

Flauros is fucking awesome.

gundam went full on shonen anime this episode. bring on the next.

No way. The problem is that Galio and Carta were both too proud and noble (and stupid) to go along with anything subversive like that.

True. now we got a competent Gaelio(keep spelling his name wrong) about to curbstomp.

I won't be happy till we get a rematch with Mcgillis bleeding in his cockpit.

You know that point in the series, where you can just feel everything starting to go downhill for all the characters? This might be it.

The scene where Mika explained how he won't need to worry about what he'd do in Kudelia's world without fighting anymore was so fucked up, Okada bringing the Christmas Cheer!

HOLY SHIT. This is probably my favorite episode in the series, bar none. The direction was top notch. I love how they framed the episode by skipped ahead a month before flashback back to the fight itself. Having the fight be a concentrated intense 3 minute melee brawl was so fucking satisfying, but it's how the rest of the episode humanizes the events and provides context for where Tekkadan will go from here that really seals the deal.

This is a series about child soldiers who became space gangsters to find a better life.

This is a series about two friends who challenge each other to push the limits that will destroy everything they hold dear.

This is a series where the power of a Gundam is measured in raw willpower and melee conflicts with exploded parts and lots of stabbing and smashing.

This might well be the first Gundam series in forever where the second season is actually better than the first.

God damn do I love me some gundam gore.

Anywho. This was probably the best fight of both season of this show put together. It was just another fight in Mika just lords over an enemy that supposedly matches up to him. It was a brutal fighting bout where Barbatos was pushed to its limits and ripped apart and yet still fought on with a fierceness that you usually don't see in a Gundam series.

To cap it all off people are finally confronting and realizing the shit wrong with Orga and Mika. Those scenes where Orga was saying he was doing it all for his family sounded more like he was trying to convince himself.

Also glad to see Chocolate Man and Julie's blood boiling after witnessing a Gundam's raw power.

Will Mika be the next Haru from Valvrave
ending the series completely like a vegetable
will weep.

Best part was easily Ride inheriting the RIDE'n Go. He's going to be amazing, though will they have him get saved by his Mika-san again?

Dat fight was just

Atra with the master plan! Even if Mika dies before the end of the series she'll have something to remember him by.
Mika predictably doesn't care about being crippled.Getting all Zone of enders 2 on us.

The 1 month time skip in the beginning felt like a troll-move. I thought they were going to skip the fight completely.

EWWWW Atra.

This episode was amazing. The fight between the Mobile Armor and Barbatos was everything I could've wanted, so much raw strength. Gundam delivered this Christmas.

seems like McGills got a Epiphany after watching that Barbatos/Mobile Armour fight

he literally got the whole

fighting is great I want to be powerful masked man game face going on

which is interesting since Gaelio also has that mindset going on with "fighting is fun what was I doing again?"

I also wonder if Gaelio can tango will all out Mikasa

seeing as he doesn't have that spine thing in him

plus even in S1 Gaelio was able to pilot his Gundam without the assistance of it

I mean is it just a skilled level

does one need to eventually use the system to pass a threshold?
