Monster Hunter Wilds Free Update: "Our Commitment to Improving Stability and Performance"

Needed for the main MH console going on. Next one will be developed on Switch 2 from start so we'll have better performance :messenger_sunglasses:
i really dont think they ll make an exclusive MH game ever again since PC is carrying them, but yeah, it ll probably have a lower budget and it ll be build to run on SW2.

I personally dont care what anyone says I loved MHWilds and I playing on my PS5 so I didn't have much performance issues.

So I paid for an early access version right papis?
And don't forget they keep churning those paid cosmetics DLC packs with each new update. Dragon's Dogma 2 caught so much hate for the poor performance and measly DLC (that could be obtained in-game).

MH Wilds should have caught even more for straight up broken release on PC, but alas, that's Capcom's sweet darling...

Yeah, but that burned them, at least on PC, i doubt their next game ll hit 20% of Wilds CCU, It mighty hit lower than World.

Isn't this stuff that should be done before a game releases? Instead of giving you a roadmap of fixing this piece of shit as if they are doing you a massive fucking favour

Imagine posting that you're fixing the performance and optimization of a game a year AFTER it was released and expecting people react in a positive way when this game should never have been in the state it was! And some people on here wanna question the state of gaming today. Fuck me fucking drunk...

I honestly do appreciate the follow up, even if very late and they've likely only done it to save face before announcing the expansion.

Even if these updates improve the performance 100% though, it still won't prevent Wilds from being my least favorite MH to date due to gameplay systems and overkill on QoL that took any friction/meaning out of the game.

I'm in minority but I personally like Wilds more than World and Rise.
Wilds is a bad Monster Hunter game, there is no hunting, for 90% of the hunts no preparation required since your Palico and Seikret are "jail free cards", you dont have to commit to attacks anymore, almost every weapon has also "jail free card", offset attack are broke, shields are broke and if you are not trying to minmax there is no reason to use any other build than the immortal one, there is no exploration, the Palico is OP, Nata is the worst character in any MH and the "farm" is a joke, too many decoration and monster parts, they streamlined the game too much imo that made the game even more arcade than Rise.

And i ll not even talk about the performance on PC and how bad the game looks and run on base ps5 performance mode.

The game is fast and has a "flash" gameplay loop that ll grab ppl attention, the ammount of the rewards and the little effort you have to put on the game it ll also grown on ppl, at the end of the day its not a bad bad game, but its a awful MH experience imo.

For me it was mostly the aesthetics of the game. It had actual colors and looked more like an OG MH game.
Only since world did the game go for a more realistic brown look.
agree, MHRise feels like a sequel to GU ( at least aesthetic ), World felt more like a spin off that robed the spot light and turned into the standard for the franchise.

my beef with Rise is the Dogo, he works exactly like the Seikret, just mount and go straight to the hunt, BUT, at least in Rise they nerf the shit out you at the beginning, so exploration is required if you want to take advantage of the endemic life boost.

Time to post the thing

Of course unlike Wilds Kamura Village is a place you can just idle in forever.

In addition the Original Rise theme of Mizutsune wipes the floor with the travesty that is the Wilds version. And it has everything to do with the vocals.

Lokaum D+ Lokaum D+ You say the Palamute works like the Seikret but I say the Seikret works like the Palamute.

I'll give it a shot, but the game was my biggest letdown this year.

I'm hoping this fixes enough issues to make me want to play again, and I don't feel like I need to wait until January or February.

Hopefully the game can actually keep a consistent 60fps during fights for my friend on PS5, and not look like a "blur-fest" in his words.

Also hoping they don't repeat performance problems for the inevitable expansion.

Optimizing performance a year after it launches is one hell of a drug

I guess this means I can return to this game next year now that I have a 5090 and they are actually going to try to make it perform better
