You know it's true.

Sensible or polically correct?Loki said:Actually, it's not true; in fact, I just gave you the most likely reasons why this thread has not seen more activity, all of which strike me as more sensible than your absurd "brown people = teh suck in the minds of white people" argument. But you just trudge onward with your bad self, Fresh Prince...

why i never replied before now... and yeah, terrorism sucks.Loki said:I don't think there are as many people home checking the news on a Friday evening as compared to midday during the week.Besides, as was pointed out, many of the posts in the London threads were from people who lived in or had family/friends in London, and many of the rest were well-wishers. I wouldn't look too deeply into any sort of possible nationalistic bias here, myself.
Terrible incidents, though. Hopefully more details are soon in coming.
Its just that there are these big ass attacks happening all the time it seems (especially in the last couple of months) in Iraq, with civilian death tolls matching or surpassing those of the London and Egypt attacks, yet almost no one posts about them. Makes me wonder...Loki said:I don't think there are as many people home checking the news on a Friday evening as compared to midday during the week.Besides, as was pointed out, many of the posts in the London threads were from people who lived in or had family/friends in London, and many of the rest were well-wishers. People are only interested and/or affected by the exceptional. Bombings in Iraq are unfortunately commonplace. We will sooner discuss the rise in activity over the course of several months than the individual events.ghostface said:Its just that there are these big ass attacks happening all the time it seems (especially in the last couple of months) in Iraq, with civilian death tolls matching or surpassing those of the London and Egypt attacks, yet almost no one posts about them. I do not even think people are clicking on the thread, the title is not that descriptive. Is he stating there were more attacks, is he asking for more?ghostface said:The lack of posts in this thread is disturbing, yet not surprising. Where are the people from yesterday's London thread?
Anyway this sucks, man. The fuckers behind these acts will ironically burn in the hell of the god who's name they commit these killings in.
Fresh Prince said:I don't really know why you care about the number of replies on this board. Basically it's full of 'bleeding heart Libruls', but even here it'll be indicative of the wider Western world.
Let's rename this thread with Tom Cruise in the title.

Rule of thumb kids, if it doesn't have a flashy graphics intro on Fox News, we don't care about it.
:: Sigh :: Such a waste of life all around in these kinds of attacks, even worse that this will probably get significantly less time in the media then it should.
