• Takeda's gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 is finally here.
• The trailer shows off Takeda's moveset and even a fatality.
• It also references the Kombat Kids, who do not appear in Mortal Kombat 1's timeline outside of Takeda.

NetherRealm has just shared Takeda's gameplay trailer, revealing how the fighter will play in Mortal Kombat 1. This is ahead of his early access launch on July 23, where he'll join the roster alongside the new Kameo fighter, Ferra.

The reveal was just shared on social media, showing how Takeda plays after sitting out the series for almost a decade. His last appearance was in his debut game, Mortal Kombat X, as he was part of a new generation of fighters, referred to as the Kombat Kids.

I actually enjoyed this MK alot at release. Just didnt have legs for me, then again most fighters dont.

feel like almost all fighting games these days are the same formula: relatively high speed + combos/juggles.

gimme something different, like "tank" combat, where the characters are slower and heavier hitting.
gimme a 3d environment where the ground is higher or lower in different areas.
do something kind of new.
