I was shocked at how Alisa from Tekken inspired some of her moves were, I know Boon's praised Tekken in the past, but of all characters Alisa would be on a bottom of my list for characters to inspire MK.

I got to play training mode. The over head bounce from MK9/10/Injustice is gone? Yahoo! It feels like how Tekken 7 made moves to bounce players versus having an actual bounce move.
Sub Zero plays differently. Same attack moves, but none of the MKXL combos work. That's surprising and awesome. It's time to learn how to use characters again.

I know a lot of the DLC characters leaked already but if they are adding anymore guest characters then I'd like to see someone from Game of Thrones (WB own HBO so the licencing should be simple?)

Literally came to post on this. By God, I'm just to chapter three but Rhonda is an awful voice actress. She is so bland and emotionless that when she was dying, the scene was supposed to be emotional but it came off laughable. She was not the right choice for a voice actress and was chosen for her fame.
It is, combos can be easily done via button mashing and the start menu tells you all their moves.

Yes, definitely. The characters carry over their signature special moves, but attack combos feel very different. They took out the floatiness to it if you ask me. It feels much more grounded.

Raid boss, basically when you get it down to half health unblockable missiles are fired at you, and then at low health snow starts falling that freezes you. So after multiple attempts, and finally getting to low health with player 1 that happens.....
Keep in mind you have to play this mode if you actually want to unlock shit and get coins to unlock shit in krypt, and it's being panned for being frustrating and unfun already. Also have to grind consumables to make these challenges more bearable, but you need to do towers of time for money to being able to get chests with the consumables....... Oh, and some challenges require you to have select consumables or otherwise they're basically unbeatable.... Some require you uppercutting 50 times in a tower.... Hence the evening in a nutshell....
The vid will make more sense after more people at neogaf get the game, since expect to see a lot of people unhappy with towers of time.....

Yea, had a look at the full stream and now I see what's going on in that clip. It kinda reminds me of being put against 8000 spirit power fighter in Smash Light World when you only got 1000 and with stage hazards to make it even more difficult. >.>

Haven´t actually played the game yet. I´m still on the fence about buying it and am just judging it based on what I´ve seen in a few streams so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but the movelist variations seem stupid to me. I already hated them in MKX where it typically boiled down to just "pick the variation that doesn´t suck", but now you have this additional convoluted customization element where you literally have moves that aren´t even tournament legal? What in god´s ass is that about?

I'm curious to why IGN gets to show all the cutscenes? Wouldn't that be a reason to not buy the game? Is it because its a fighting game that they are doing this? Why not have IGN show all the cutscenes for God of War or some single player? NRS makes immersive single play story modes now. If I had known the ending to Injustice it would have cost me hours of actual play time. I think its a waste to watch everything online without actually booting the game up and playing it. I'd expect this from some random YouTube user, but IGN on the day of release. That blows my mind.
Why not have them air End Game this Friday. Save me the trip to the theater and the money on the movie/food.

Yeah, bounces now are generally tied to amplified special moves. In exchange for a bar of offensive meter you can bounce your opponent with a move that wouldn't normally have that attribute.

Was a lot of fun...once the servers started working. 
I def worry about the RNG aspect as the payouts aren't that great even in the early goings. Still find the Krypt very addicting, though I guess that's the point. =P

First impressions are not that great. Over half finished with the story mode and a trip through classic tower so far. Something about the gameplay feels regressive-it's slower and reminds me of the old MK games-which gives it more of a dated feel. The music is there, nothing special. The stages are pretty bland for the most part, not a whole lot going on in most of them that I have seen. If I were to compare it to Injustice 2, I think that it isn't as good all the way around, which is disappointing. Knowing what I know now- I wouldn't have wasted my money.
Fatal moves feel like a mistake. Amplified moves do as well. They just seem like a cheap way to keep matches closer. I don't want to watch a 10 second cinematic in the middle of a fight, it screws with the flow of the match.

All of that was in the beta. And you're wrong.
To expand, I mean you could have tried it, yes its slower as MKX was all rushdown, music is great as always, stages are excellent (dvorah, awesome), amped moves arent cheap, xrays are once per match only, and "wasted your money"..you could sell it for a tiny loss. The hottest of takes.
