This looks like a goofy and dumb good time. I'm in! 🍿

The previous movie was so forgettable I don't even know if this is connected to it storywise, but this trailer wasn't bad I must admit. Though the original movies will never be topped, you had to be there.

Enjoyed the trailer overall.
Very little Cole = Good
Closer character colors to the game lore = Good
Karl Urban brings the comedic timing, but is an Aussie = can't win em all I guess, but mostly good
Jade casting = F'n terrible
Kitana casting = meh
Brought back some characters from the dead = good

I loved the 1st OG movie.
The follow up was trash though and an obvious money grab

This reboot looks to be a reverse where the 1st was OK (I did enjoy some of it, but thought the Cole storyline was garbage), but the 2nd looks to be much more of what I wanted the 1st movie in the reboot to be

Meh that proof of concept trailer from over a decade ago was cool, I wish we would've gotten that movie. Every live action MK thing since then has been hot garbage.

Looks amazing, I actually really liked the last movie. I'm 100% in.

I know everyone hates the second movie but I'm one of the five people who genuinely likes it and when I see the first movie it has to be continued with the second to make it full

I... Don't understand... this looks nothing like the other movie... not saying the other movie was great... but now Cage is the main character? almost seems like another reboot.
still down to watch it over some beers with friends. I can see it now.
Special move from the video game - DRINK
Character dialogue from the game - DRINK
Fatality - CHUG

Actor casting killed the first movie so badly that this saga can hardly be saved.

Badass MK villain vs some random dad forced to disguise for his son's school teathre performance

Cole Young was terrible too, Kung Lao wasn't any better, Raiden was also a big step down from Christopher Lambert on 1995's movie..

At least Cole's disappearing, but now they also bring the cringe actress from Intergalactic lmao, the casting guy is 100% a Street Fighter fan trying to sabbotage the movie

Thought 1: Wu Tang Clan ain't nuttin to fuck with

Thought 2: this looks like it's embracing being fun

Thought 3: where's my boy Smoke

I have to admit that when I was bored one day and decided to give MK a go on Netflix I didn't think it was awful. Didn't care about Cole, of course. This looks better, so I'm in.

Smoke was there near the end fighting Scorpion
At least I thought that was Smoke

Why CGI looks worst than AI videos I see on TikTok nowadays?

Btw the first one was one of the most sleep inducing movies ever, this one at least seems more fun.

Had they not fucked up the sequel in 1997, we could have had probably 4 decent Mortal Kombat movies from the first iteration in 1995 to the early 2000s, instead because of the damage that movie did, they were forced to go into reboot mode.....(which is the opposite to what they didn't have to do after MK 11, ie do a reboot of the whole thing as if the 1992 entry didn't matter..)

Jade...

This wont end well.
It´s the same Intergalactic "actress"? Always the freaking unnecesary DEI fee...prob will be a lesbian or some they/them nonsense...But seems bearable

Other than that, seems it could be better than the the first one, but probably still bellow the classic 95 OG!

However, i´m in, still looks kinda promising. We gotta wait and see.

Hollyweird intentional trolling as usual

We dont know for sure. Yes, the actress choice is questionable (some might say very) but there might not be any DEI nonsense. Who knows.

One thing for sure is that look - they did not design her from previous releases/sources. No jade has ever been bald and it just looks wrong.

The Jade actress was locked in way before the Intergalactic controversy. She's an awful choice though. Zero charisma. They couldn't even be bothered to put a wig on her head. Really annoyed by that.

But wigs are back in. I watched How to Train your Dragon the other day and everyone wears wigs there, even on their faces. (what a fucking waste of time that was, but it wasn't my choice...)

They might as well make Sonya bald while they're at it.

Give Liu Kang a fu manchu too. Fuck it.
