It's been in development hell for years. It's basically the Duke Nukem Forever of the MK world. It was originally supposed to be based on MK4, that's how far it goes back. Most of the info on IMDB and fan sites is either extremely outdated or was never confirmed to begin with. About once a year someone from the production company or one of the actors will claim on a message board that they've got a script and they're filming soon but nothing ever comes of it. Even the name MK Devestation is outdated. They said years ago that wasn't the title but everyone keeps calling it that.

I could watch MKA over and over again. It's just so funny.

The best part about Baraka in MKA is that when Liu knocks him into the fire pit it's just reused footage of Rain falling in from when Kahn killed him earlier.

I also love the part where Cyrax first shows up to kill Jax and Sonya. He like lifts up his arms in this menacing pose and all of a sudden all the glass shatters and Jax and Sonya dive in slow mo.

There's also this part at the end of the Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion fight where poor Subby is about to fall off the bridge. He is leaning over it looking all scared and holds out his hand for Liu to help him up. How thrilling! Except you can cleary see he is not even close to actually falling off and could easily just get up on his own.

Atleast the girl they got to do sonja in mortal kombat annihilation could actually sort of fight. Bridgette wilson looked hot but couldnt' pull off any of the choreography.

I actually watched MK and MKA back to back while drinking a few weeks back and after all these years of saying Mk was a decent movie I was suprised to find that both suck equally as much. Also suprised that the amazing dvd rom technology allowed me to see that MKAs' final battle was in fact CG and not stop motion animation as I thought upon seeing the film in theatres.
