I don't understand why so many people find Tetris addictive, I find it mindnumbingly boring. Civilization 2 or 3 has much more depth and is a much better game. Four player Goldeneye on the N64 was incredibly addictive as well. Multiplayer Starcraft is also somewhere in the top 10 of addictiveness.

Tetris attack is much, much better, and I can see why people would find that game addictive but I still like Super Puzzle Fighter and Meteos more.

Puzzle games like Tetris, Meteos, etc. are all addictive in the sense that you're blisfully doing the same thing over and over again, but are you really going to be playing Zoo Keeper for 12+ hours straight? MMORPGS will probably also be mentioned, but I wouldn't exactly call those addicting.. more like habbit forming.

My vote is for the just-one-more-turn games, like Civilization, Alpha Centauri, etc.

I have wasted whole weeks playing Civ 2 and 3. Other than those, the DS version of Zoo Keeper is addictive as hell. Advance Wars DS seems to be good at killing all my free time also.

For me, that would be Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (aka WE8).. spent months and months on that game, especially Master League. Heck, even the Edit Mode could keep me busy for entire afternoons/evenings.
