Willco said:I have those Sony silicon earbuds, but after a lot of use, there are some sound problems with them. They're great for portability, and the sound quality for earbuds definitely rocks, but there are sound problems that irk me and I've been told that's mostly a problem with in-ear.
Manics said:Really? Mine are pretty recent so I don't know what you're referring to. What do I have to look out for?
Do yoursef a favor and buy these. I think they cost a bit more than $45 but they sound damn good.I'd try the Senn PX100's. The only problem is they're open.

What's the model?Manics said:Too bad you don't want in-ear, I got the Sony earbuds and I love them. I used to hate that style cause they never stayed in my ear, but ever since getting these bad boys, they never come out when I'm walking around anymore. Sound quality is quite good too.
Marconelly said:Are you sure the hiss is not simply there in your audio source? What are you using to listen to music?
I can definitely hear hiss with those buds easier than with anything else but that is only because it's there to begin with. Songs that are produced (and eventually encoded into MP3) properly have none of it.
If you change your mind about in-ears, get a pair of Shure e2Cs, or even further with some e3Cs.
