Most Anticipated Cancelled Games

Well, then U.S. Sega head Bernie Stoler killed Geist Force because he felt an on rails shooter wasn't "next-gen" enough for the DC.
God damn Bernie... why'd he have to kill everything I wanted from Sega? :(

I wanted that 3-D Castlevania on Dreamcast. I know it came out for N64 and was supposed to be terrible (I never played it), but the idea of it on DC was nice.

I also really really wanted that N64 Robotech game.

And BF:1942 for Xbox, dammit!

Castlevania 64 is one of the most under-rated games ever.

I rented and completed it TWICE before buying it! The boss battle's were quality.

The one thing that did piss me off about it though was that bit where you had the Nitro and you had to walk through some cogs and crap without touching anything or you blow up :lol.

Imperium Galactica 3
It seems that kinda genre died before this game saw the light of release (and was scrapped eventually).

Wasn't it retitled (and released) as Nexus: The Jupiter Incident?

Oh shit. Hahaha. I kept tabs on the development for a while, but the last I read about it a while ago, it was canned (on their official website anyway)

I guess they found another publisher or something for it...

The Lost-though the information in this thread gives me hope that we will see it someday.

The big one for me (and probably only me :p) Is Shadow Tower:Abyss. Damn you SCEA...DAMNYOU! :p

Robotech: Crystal Dreams

It was probably gonna suck though. :-/

does anyone have the GameFan screenshots ...er, I mean CGI renders of it ?

either way, I have some going online that I'll edit in.

edit: here they are

Ultra 64 ROBOTECH renders

larger versions of these can be found here http://www.tinyurl.com/8uwes

man, this rendition of Robotech graphics, which are pre-rendered of course, would've been doable on Gamecube or Xbox for certain, at 60fps. those CGI images were drool-age 10 years ago and don't even look bad today.

oh, i forgot about...

Gunvalkyrie Online Co-Op Dreamcast Game:

im sure that one would've been a lot different had it stayed on Dreamcast.

Fuck! That makes me even more bummed that a US version never surfaced. Ubi was supposed to publish it, I believe. I'm a sucker for anything even remotely Tim Burton-esque.

Evil Twin is worth picking up for the DC if you can. It's kind of like a dark Rayman. Gets extra points for using 'wanker' in the dialogue. And also Big Ben should get some credit for publishing it and a handful of other DC games (and distributing the console itself) when even SEGA had given up.
