Movies so good that you can watch them twice in a row

Blade Runner does this for me. it's the atmosphere, the aesthetic, the sets, the music... everything. i think atmosphere is the biggest reason though. i just want to live in that movie. also Rocky, its my favorite movie and for whatever reason i never get tired of it. im not even sure why for that one, except that i just really love it and its inspiring. a guy i used to work with said he started The Winter Soldier right back up after watching it for the first time

what are yours?

There is no movie that is that good that I will watch it again that soon. If anything, there are movies I will watch again in the future. I generally watch the Godfather trilogy (yes even the third, I liked it) each year.

Die Hard because or leads to the best naps with my platonic male friends.

i had to look up the word platonic --> platonic - (of love or friendship) intimate and affectionate but not sexual.

interesting

actaully die hard is another good one. i could see myself starting that right back up. also, terminator 2. i used to watch them movie back to back all the time as a kid. action movies are perfect for this. predator also.

Taxi Driver and Freddy Got Fingered

ive only seen the beginning of freddy got fingered but its was god damn hilarious. for whatever reason i never get around to finishing it. gotta do that one of these days

Apparently the movie is very much a love/hate sort of thing, but if you dug the beginning then you'd love the rest. The whole movie just moves so quickly and beats you over the head with its absurdism. Arguably the funniest movie I've ever seen.

Freddy Got Fingered is one of my 2 annual Thanksgiving movies, the other being Starship Troopers (can watch both of those repeatedly)

Also, Silence of the Lambs, Hot Fuzz and Pet

Cky 1 and 2, Jay and silent Bob and Baseketball were all films I watched again closely to one another. I wouldn't double dip on a film though, Where's the chance to soak it up?

Blade Runner, definitely, yeah.
Batman Returns does it too.
Same with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
And more recently, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3.

Those are movies I could watch and re-watch the entire day.
... ok, maybe not the entire day.

I just watched Whiplash back to back a couple days ago.

Incredible film.

One of the best performances I've ever seen.

good one! yeah agreed man. that last 5 minutes had my heart pounding out of my chest. it was one of those rare moments when you actively know youre watching something special. same feeling i got in the last fight of the original rocky the first time i watched that as a kid, and every joker scene in the dark knight

but yeah whiplash i could def watch twice in a row

Benders Big Score, the first Futurama movie, was the only ive ever done that; My buddy and i finished watching the blu ray on release day, looked at each other and both went "Again?"

If we're talking movies i watched a LOT then Zootopia comes to mind : I watched it three days in a row with new people each time when that hit blu ray.

steve jobs is worth a rewatch, especially if you aren't familiar with all the details

(flights of fancy abound, it's a movie)

Thought of a couple more.

I have watched Trainspotting back to back before, The Dark Knight back to back, and Goodfellas back to back. I could watch Goodfellas all day.

I've probably watched Moon 5x so far (not in a row, just overal). Saw it in a little indie movie theater back home in San Diego when it came out, was a double date. Good night, good film

Well it wasn't 'A beautiful Day in the Neighborhood'... yeesh.

Ghostbusters.. 1+2

Jurassic Park (just did this recently), I've also been playing a lot of Evolution.

Bought tickets to Star Wars Episode 1 when they were available and saw it twice on release day. That was a fucking mistake!

I saw 2007 Transformers several times in theaters. I don't think I could watch anything back to back though.

A lot of the Disney movies from the Disney renaissance would qualify for me.
Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The little mermaid, Mulan ...

I'm a sucker for good musicals

Hard Boiled

I did pretty much watch it twice in a row.

Also Blade Runner 2049, saw it a ton of times in theatres

Probably Shutter Island and Jacob's Ladder but that's because the twist ending will have you view everything from a new perspective. Same goes for Donnie Darko.

I think comedies lend themselves better to rewatching right after. I know Super Bad and Grandma's Boy would be on that list but being super high while watching them doesn't hurt

Like your friend Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It's the best Marvel film and the last one with any decent fight choreography.

In theaters? Films I made a point to watch twice were Joker, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Force Awakens, and The Dark Knight.

on cable and streaming and the like, as much shit as I give them at times, MCU films are easy to watch multiple times. It's easily digestible. Some others here that have been mentioned, Steve Jobs, Jurassic Park, The Indiana Jones films, I find myself putting on TV if it's on.

Most comedies of quality I find a lot of fun to re-watch as well, but there's an overwhelming amount of films that I've liked and have no desire to watch again.

fun fact, i had no idea who the winter soldier was, as i didnt watch the marvel movies till years later. never saw any trailers or anything, i just somehow completely missed it.

so when they revealed him in the movie i was literally yelling "holy shiiiiiit, thats awesome!!!" i was basically just as surprised as cap. as such, it goes down as probably my favorite character reveal/twist moment of all time.

and yeah i agree, i could watch that movie over and over
