Probably my favourite Wes Anderson movie.
wtf dude, this movie's great

Has anyone said Freddie Got Fingered? Because I never liked Tom Green but for some reason I loved that movie. Every body else i know thinks it is garbage but I can watch it over and over.

Also, Pootie Tang. Great Movie. I've shown it to a few friends and never once has anybody made it through the entire thing. I think I have bad taste

Come on guys, I know it's cool to hate on Michael Bay but this was a good freakin movie.

For all the hate this got I found it to be one of my favorite movies in the series. Probably because it was the first one I saw

I found this hilarious despite all my friends saying you'd have to be a stoner to (and I'm not)

You're goddamn right it's awesome.

As for movies only I liked, I've always thought Harlem Nights was a pretty funny movie.

I must have seen Ford Fairlane at least 10 times, but I do not remember that quote at all. Who says it?

Oops Im thinking "Brain Smasher... A Love Story" which was a horrible movie with the dice man.

Enough with the movies everyone likes.

At least pick something that is generally hated or unseen.

An example of the former, AvP.

An example of the latter, Bad Boy Bubby (although there is a GAFer with an avatar of this).

Armageddon is one. Most of the people I know hate it but I think it is the best of the summer blockbusters. Loved it. Another one was Last Action Hero. As a kid I thought it was a b level Arnie movie but after rewatching it when I was a bit older I realized it really is quite good and is one of his better movies.

I don't know a single person who likes this movie. The cinematography alone is worth a watch. A great story and well told.

this is one of my favorite movies ever. ..

many of you guys are actually posting good movies that were well received. :/

I love this flick. Its what'd happen if you built a killer cyborg out of GWAR, Iggy Pop, Ministry and a gallon of LSD... with boobs... and midgets.

care to post a picture with a title.. or reveal it yourself?

:(

Matrix Revolutions
Star Wars Prequels
The recent batch of M Knight Shaymalan movies
Godzilla (1998)
Fantastic 4 (1 and 2)
Indy 4

I can't really think of any movies that I didn't like.

I don't think a lot of people here understand the thread criteria.

We've got people naming movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Empire of the Sun. Almost everybody who has seen these films love them.

A better example would be: 'I really loved The Happening' or 'Brainscan was awesome!'

I'm back to show my support for Constantine, Death Proof, Unbreakable and Casshern.

Constantine I love for its subject matter and tone; I can't comment on the film's quality as an adaptation of the comic.

Death Proof I just plain love. I saw Grindhouse in a theater and it was one of my best moviegoing experiences ever, even though I was ill at the time. Respect to Quentin for casting Zoe Bell (stuntwoman for the title character of Xena: Warrior Princess and The Bride from Kill Bill) in a leading role.

Unbreakable is a film of nuance, with strong acting to complement its equally strong theme. It is the only of M. Night Shyamalan's works that didn't cause me to feel embarrassed for him by the end (I must exclude The Sixth Sense here because I've only seen it in part, though it might be worth mentioning that that part wasn't to my taste. Lady in the Water is almost defensible with its intriguing premise and decent first half, until the last half which is a marathon of ridiculousness capped with a spectacular anticlimax).

Casshern is an absorbing visual experience. Since it doesn't appear to have any higher aspirations, I'd say it's a successful film. I enjoyed it.

I love this film too. So do all of my friends. Look at the awards it won. Maybe it's just not widely known?

And come on people, Lawrence of Arabia is a cinematic masterpiece, renowned as one of the greatest films ever made. It says right on the poster/cover posted in this thread that it won seven Oscars for Pete's sake. That should be enough of a clue that it's not just you who likes it.

i think the only movie where people really gave me shit over was the newer Godzilla. i saw it at a sneak preview thing the night before release and liked it alot. Was just a fun movie for me. i went alone and spotted a couple people i knew from school and went up to talk with them after the movie ended. i told them the ending was only ok.. and that the final egg should have had a bomb on it from their failed attempt. They looked at me like i was crazy lol.

The topic is about "Movies that only I like"..
And Annihilation is one of my favorites movies..
First one I watched in theaters on opening day..first one I watched twice in theaters...rented..bought on VHS, DVD....

Love it..for some reason..the characters, the fights, the music...the story is simple and it may look more like Power Rangers..but still enjoyed it..and still watch it from time to time.

I'm also a big Mortal Kombat nut... :)

Assasination of Jesse James is fuckin awesome.

Didn't read the whole thing but I haven't seen anyone say Hardball with Keanu Reeves. Just rewatched that recently and noticed Wallace from season1 of the wire is in it!

Hardball did indeed suck but I'll always remember Wallace (Michael B. Jordan) as Reggie Montgomery from All My Children.

Good call, I love Alien 3. It may start off with one of the largest plot-holes ever, but it's a pure Alien experience all the way through. And i love the concept of the prison planet.

Good ragtag/inspiring sports flick. I love it when ya call me big pop-pa.

Also, I have an unhealthy love for Muppet Treasure Island.

39% on the Tomatometer, but it should be said I automatically love anything Ridley Scott does, and I'm a stickler for historical epics. I agree the movie's biggest flaw is Bloom (outside of it's gross historical inaccuracies), who I think is a serviceable actor but he's just too pretty for the part. But the score was absolutely beautiful and Edward Norton was down-right incredible in an eerie sort of way.

Both Scott and Michael Mann are my absolute two favorite directors, which is probably why I also loved Miami Vice, and also why most anticipated movie of this year is Public Enemies and for 2010 is Ridley Scott's Robin Hood movie with Russel Crowe and Kate Blanchett. Yup, looking forward to that more than Iron Man 2.

Oh, and uh...Revenge of the Sith. Aside from whenever Haden Christiansen says, well, anything, I had almost no problem with the movie whatsoever (lulz from the "younglings" banter aside :D ). I still think to this day that Ewan McGregor did his best work in the prequels, especially episode 3.

Can I post a short film? Outer Space by Peter Tscherkassky. I think this is incredibly cool, but everyone I have tried to send the link to turns it off after 4-5 minutes.

I love this short film. I watched this a couple of months ago on that Experiments in Terror disc. Rock n roll dude.

Wow...so much fail in this thread. How the heck does "Lawrence of Arabia" or "Man bites Dog" get on this list?

As for my contribution...

Scary Movie 3 (one of the funniest damn movies I've ever seen)
Hudson Hawk
Grease 2
Evolution
Showgirls (This one is so bad that I'm convinced that the director made it that way on purpose...not to be taken seriously AT ALL)

Greatest movie full stop of the decade for me.

I don't know that I'd take it that far, but I definitely think that it's top 5.

Edit: To the person who said Kingdom of Heaven: the director's cut of that movie is hailed as one of Ridley Scott's best, so your opinion isn't all that unpopular.
