I nominate 80's school nightmare flick Class of 1984.

I'm surprised no-one remade this in 2004. But let's face it, it would only be a watered down, stacatto-fight sequence, cutaway from violence 12 rating fest if they did.

Shall We Dance, Japanese original.

Make it so!

Been waiting for a while, myself. Comes out February 1st (after being delayed from early October). Unfortunately, it's from Miramax and not the uncut 2+ hour version; also, they've raised the price. It was supposed to be a $14.99 release before...

That was released recently, I saw reviews of it. REgion 2 only tho. I really want ELECTRIC DREAMS on dvd. It was that movie about a computer that became self aware, and his owner was this nerdy guy who lives next to this hot musician girl. The computer falls in love with the girl. Its pretty cool

I've seen that movie a few times when I was a kid :(

I just get this whenever anyone posts something from that site (and it happens often):

Am I the only one? Apparently so, because I've never seen anyone else mention any problems.

Back on topic... I really can't think of anything, although I'd like to see Hard Boiled and The Killer back in print in the US.

Can we change this to special edition DVDs we are still waiting for?

Office Space
Spaceballs
True Lies

Thankfully Shawshank just got an SE, or it would be on my list too.

Office Space has one coming, and Spaceballs is either confirmed or near confirmed for the first half of 2005. Not sure about True Lies.

My list:
King Kong
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
The Fox and the Hound (in original aspect ratio)

There are a ton of TV shows I want to see on DVD too:
Newsradio
Samurai Jack (the last 39 episodes)
Darkwing Duck
Scrubs

Special editions:
Every Disney animated film that doesn't have one.

The only Shakespeare play/movie that I can sit through. It's set sometime in the 1800s or early 1900s instead of whenever the hell its supposed to happen. It's a very beautiful movie.

That's been out forever. I've seen it in the Wal-Mart $5 bins countless times.

Guess it went right past me, but it looks like it was indeed released on DVD this year.

I just stopped looking for the DVD after years of waiting for it.

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
I would like the failed TV series Highwayman to come to DVD.... I guess throw in Viper too.

Dune the extended edition. I caught the extended directors cut of Dune on WGN some years ago. A friend of mine has it in VHS, but I don't understand why it hasn't been released on DVD to this day. Especially after the buzz the Sci-Fi Channel mine-series generated a few years vack. The Dune books by Frank Herbet are my all time favorite sci-fi reads. Even though the movie had it's share of issues in regards to the story, I did like the high production value. Unlike the overall cheap B-movie look of both the Sci-Fi channel mini series. I just would like to watch the extended cut in quality. My one wish for the DVD format.

Yet, Ive seen 2 versions of The Thing, Starship Troopers, and 3 versions of Predator plus countless other re-released remasters! I think that a little love could be thrown in the direction of Dune.
