MSI and ASUS hike GeForce RTX 50 series prices in official stores, now up to $3,409 for RTX 5090

I wonder if this is related to Tariffs from both sides. I find it interesting, to be honest for an increase across all companies.

This is not greed from an AIB when all decides to go that extreme.

As an AIB, I think they are mandated to sell at least one SKU for MSRP price, if the MSRP of these cards has increased, does that mean the FE will get a price increase as well under the excuse ( or legitimate excuse ) the tariffs?

Sold mine to get a gaming laptop (to use for travel) which I ended up not liking. Thankfully I was able to get what I paid for it and I used the difference between the cost of the 4080 and 4070 Super to fund part of my system upgrade. I bought the 4070 Super in December thinking I can return it if 5070 turns out to be a better deal, but yes, you are correct, sticking with what I have and skipping this nonsense.

Yup, the 4080 I got on sale a few years ago feels like a better deal by the day.

They didn't win either. Last gen and prior sure. This 50 series FE, at least the 5090, is a cluster fuck that I would never consider buying. Will not retain the value like past FE cards did. Good luck water blocking that thing.
Debauer and bytski are looking to produce blocks for the FE.

But still going to be a pain due to the split design and the liquid metal. Need to go under a microscope to ensure you haven't dislodged any on the board.

It was already a tall order asking customers to break down the basic FE boards and coolers to apply a water block. Now with this riser and offset board, I just don't know man. It's whack. I don't trust it.

And this is why I am not mainly a PC gamer. Even if I wanted to spend stupid money on these cards, I still could not find one.
PC gaming is cooked if this crap keeps up. Even if PS6 is $1000, it's a better value proposition than this. At that point a RTX 8090 will cost what? $4000-$6000?
Nah fam.......I'd rather take my family on vacation.
You need a refrigerator for that big bad boy.

If you only want the best money can buy, then yeah, PC gaming is unaffordable for most people.

However, if you're willing to compromise then you can get a lower spec build that still plays the latest games for far less.

Not only AMD either. The recent Intel B580 is a decent card and has great reviews. You're not going to be gaming in 8K at 120FPS on it, but on the other hand it does cost under £300.

I want to build a PC this year, but most of the games I want to play won't need a 5090. It'd be overkill, so I'm seriously considering the B580 or maybe something from AMD.

One of THE definitive all time stupid product launches from the world leader in artificial intelligence. Maybe they should have asked fuckin’ Grok 2 how to properly launch a product line. Fucking morons.
