Haha, oh man, this is embarrassing but I have one too. I didn't mention it because I've never considered it an issue but for my whole life, I've had a single, very thin clear hair that grows like 2cm above my eyebrown. I have to tilt my head in the light to see it and yank it out.

I've looked into this, and I'm pretty sure it's not this. This thing is like one ridiculous hair, I rubbed it together it's not multiple hairs together. Unless they fuse somehow.

I should have posted this in the guilty pleasures thread but I like watching pimple, ingrown hair and cyst videos on youtube.

I get almost the same feeling of relief watching them as I do when I have to do the same things to myself.

It's like I can feel the pressure draining away.

Also this is part of why I clean shave maybe once a year. The rest of the time it gets clipped.

Pretty sure I have one of those on my neck right now. I've been getting them on and off in for about the past 2 years. About the same 2-3 spots too (front of chin and neck area). Sometimes the skin around it will swell up for 2-3 days before the hair is finally able to break the surface after much squeezing. It's annoying as fuck because that area gets tender until I'm able to get the hair out.

Yup. I started using a 5 blade razor and I've gotten a noticeable increase in those painful little bastards.

I almost never do a full shave anymore. Just buzz it with a trimmer.

I've gotten hairs like this a couple times, but they have been nose hairs. They never get in grown (knock on wood) but I definitely tear up longer when I pull them. I am always amazed by them too, I have no idea how they can be so thick. They feel hollow too when I bend them.
