output matters, what levels of work you put in or the kind of body you want for sports or other things

basketball is good, keeps you hungry

we're all gonna die tho

natural sugars are fine in moderation

i eat plenty of strawberries and blueberries, smidge of dex in pre pump

Can you tell me the difference metabolically? Sugar is sugar, fruit just happens to have more nutrition(vitamins, fiber) than things with added sugar. I do think nutrition should be considered so it had to be moderated but if someone wants a pop tart they should have it if it keeps them on track overall. Better than trying to be perfect and derailing into a week long binge.

Sorry, I'm just pretty passionate about challenging the "clean" eating myth and elimination of carbs. I used to do that and never reached my goals. I do think people can do it as I've seen it but most if not all never really had a huge weight problem. It's only until I heard of CICO and that there isn't any inherently fattening foods did I find success. I think many are like me in that regard which is why dieting and getting into shape becomes so daunting.

It's taken YEARS for me to slowly weed down, but I've cut down on pop. And when I do buy it, I aim for sugar free.

I drink more plain water, or water with squirts of MIO or whatever drink enhancer I buy. I have no idea how healthy or shitty those drink powders or liquid is compared to a can of pop, but calorie wise they are only about 5 calories per dose, while a can of regular pop is around 160 calories.

Small steps I know. But I'm thinking in the long run it's better than doing nothing.

I don't see myself ever completely cutting out soft drinks, so I think I've hit a plateau which I can live with.

Try DDP yoga?

Some pirates might be able to help you sail the 7 seas.

This guy right here. Also its not like DDP isn’t hosting those torrents to convince people to buy the updated DVD’s. I can attest to DDPyoga personally, I stopped lifting weights 2 years ago cause my squat was overloaded and caused me some spine compression. I’m not trying to be one of those “miracle stories” for ddpyoga but I went from struggling to get out of bed every morning to doing backflips in six months. It’s also helps that this program is basically a modified injury recovery program that he turned into a legit workout system.

Get a heart monitor, a program that will let you set heart zones on your phone and just stay consistent!

Get a pull up bar.
The rest you can improvise.

Do every other day 30 push ups, and pull ups on the bar with your lower body curling up, plus plank for 2 minutes.
That whole "fitness program" will take you 5 minutes.

Also stop eating Snickers and drinking sugary sodas if you do.
Try to get your body eating only as much as it needs. Really try to listen to and train your body to this.

In a while it will get second nature to you.

Remember: Do less, but do it constantly and don't stop.

You will see a lot of improvement over the next months, and in one year you will look ripped.

Just do some Callesthenics. Be like Chris Heria, the rippest MF around without any use of weights and shit.

Sorry for all the horrible advices OP. You need to check with your doctor or physical therapist ASAP. What you are describing isn’t normal. Your shoulder and knee shouldn’t be hurting for no reason. You shouldn’t be feeling exhausted at 35. You should not be significantly weaker at your age.

If You are actually 50, then maybe. But not 35. Do health checkups and ask your doctor for advice immediately

Only after that then we should be discussing workouts

Well, that's the safe answer but OP turned to the internet for advice

Most seems solid to me

I was feeling weak as fukc at 34. Added a quality multi and my energy is back to normal

But yeah OP, check with your doc

Maybe I made it worse than it seems by using dramatic wording, I don’t think a Doc is necessary.

What I mean is I’m still healthy by normal means, but my problem is that my current state activity level is completely different than before, and I’m slowly losing everything that made me fit and feeling the downsides of losing performance. I don’t like it so I need to find a real way to adjust my life so that I can be more active again.

That involves adapting since what I used to do isn’t possible now.

But yeah I’ve been taking vitamin d and that helped with my aches a bit honestly, TalentedMrJ TalentedMrJ what multi are you talking about?

check your testosterone and prolactin levels, if those are imbalanced you will feel like shit no matter what you eat or do.
fix your sleep schedule first before doing any real exercises.

Bandages, vitamins and Coffee. None of that instant trash either.

Brown adipose fat conditioning / cold training eats up carbs like they're nothin'. I've never had to go no-carb for this reason. Control weight while still indulging in carbs when you like. The keto crowd will attest that the hardest part is coming off keto and then having to ramp back up. Brown fat and fasting expedite the process of using up your glycogen while never requiring you to be in a constant ketogenic state. Best of both worlds imo.

However, omad and fasting made me realize just how empty and sopoforic carbs can be. It has to do with how refined sugars are processed by the body and how your brain utilizes them. I eat fewer carbs because I don't like how I feel after gorging on a lot of em, not for any metabolic or dietary reason.

Not sure it someone has mentioned this, but joint, bone and muscle pain is linked to vitamin D deficiency. If you cannot make it outside for some daily rays I’d consider a supplement. If you’re like a lot of us your exposure to sun has been significantly reduced since the lockdowns and just the situation in general, maybe this is something you should look into? I wish you the best, hope you start feeling better soon. 🙏🏼
