la foret is quite good. the two albums i've listened to most this year though are picaresque and illinois. someone needs to gift me the eno.

Malkmus's Face the Truth has been growing on me quite a bit recently, same with Beck. I'd say as of now they are right up there with Andrew Bird and Son Volt. Aesop Rock's "Fast Cars" EP is great stuff too. Same goes for The Decemberists, Ryan Adams, and M. Ward. Overall this year has been pretty good for me, not great, but it's still early.
