Yayaorozu should just use her powers to create a bionic suit or something. She'd be the best tinker ever

Deku doesn't have the skills to actually build gadgets so he'd be relying on others to create it for him which during his previous school, he obviously didn't have access to it but we can assume he was hoping to go down that route since he still wanted to apply to UA. Interestingly, Deku was originally gonna be a batman type hero with the gadgets before the author was encouraged to go down the quirk route

Yayaorozu can only make things she's studied so its not like she can invent something completely original. She has to study everything down to the materials and elements things are made from so making the simplest of objects takes a lot of studying. Making a bionic suit would require an insane amount of knowledge on the subject, so for now she's not capable of making something like that. It's an interesting concept for the future though.

I think just his legs. An omake has him in casual clothes and he dresses kind of like a maths teacher, lol.

A normal school boy raised by the single mother doesn't have access to those perks, so at best he'll be part of the support course instead of the hero course, which is far from what he wants to do.
And while Deku's smart he's not amazingly smart and comes of little specialized. Bakugo actually got a higher score than him in the written exam.

This is actually what the one-shot(pilot) manga chapter "Boku no Hero" was about. Deku was an adult weapon salesman who was using his own wares to fight crime. It was re-tooled into a school series after that.

In the past a villain took his leg. He wears a regular prosthetic when in civilian clothes and sports a special lightweight battle prosthetic while in his costume.

I thought the episode was gonna be total trash from the preview last week, but it wasn't bad.
obviously focusing on the C-tier students was going to be less interesting, but breathing some life into one-dimensional characters, or zero-dimensional in the case of Koda, and having the A-team in the control room watching em made it better.
