We already have a team of people whose job it is to decide if something is thread ruining trash and they haven't made an issue with it yet. Infact I'd argue we've done a fairly good job regulating it already, with cheezmo's big mac/human fluttershy pic as an example that was removed for being too risque and which was originally posted as a link.

I'm against community self-policing as well.

There's already policing, it's called the GAF rules, TOS, and Moderator decisions.

They're what has kept the stuff that would actually warrant the reactions out of this thread completely so far.

Everything else you HAVE to accept. It's presumably a forum where there is free speech (with aforementioned rules/TOS).

Never said they owe me anything, you human pony posters are a vocal minority. You have forgotten the spirit of MLP and post human ponies when it has been made abundantly clear most people here would rather stay on topic about the actual show. It's about the spirit of the competition. What is a race to 100 pushups supposed to challenge? Their front legs, Rainbow subverts that. What is the point of a long jump? To see how far you can jump, not flutter along a little more when you fail. Likewise, what's the purpose of a tug of war? To test their strength against one another, not to fly above the whole thing and pretend you're oblivious to it.

I'll give Rainbow the mud chick one, that is still within fair boundaries of what that competition was.

The whole iron pony competition was clearly inadequately designed to be fought between pegasi and earth ponies. You would think that a pony society that is at least a thousand years old would come up with competetive events that would allow earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns alike to use their racial abilities to their fullest without gaining an advantage over the others. If that's not possible, then the competition should have comprised of events that each give an advantage to one race over the others but in a way that when all the events of the wompetititon are summed up, everything is balanced out.

Yeah that's what happens when a dirt pony tries to challenge a pegasus to an athletic competition. It's nice to see how AJ had to remove Dash's main method of transportation to compete though. It's like a guy in a wheelchair saying he'll totally kick my ass in a race... so long as I can't use my legs because he doesn't have working legs to use himself.

For reference, I believe a tug of war between pegasi would work just fine. Would the pushup competition have been more to your liking if RBD had pretended the last one was done using the strength of her forelegs? The long jump... that I'll give you.

I love the fact that if RBD doesn't use her wings then she's forced to use her limbs that she gets almost no use out of. That'd be a lot more fair, eh?
