Oh god, when the game is complete we would actually have a legit reason for a pony thread in gaming. Hell, Dong Dong Never Die got its own thread.
It could bring PonyGAF and pony haters together at last, PonyGAF get to play a pony game with other people and pony haters get to beat up ponies.

The key, here, is to get a high-profile Fighting-GAF user to make the thread, not by one of PonyGAF's own.

I recommend courting either MikeZ or MarkMan.

And if you noticed, it got a thread resurrection with safe pictures. The issue on-hand was that icecream tried to fight back against evilore. A Pony fighting game thread on Gaming-side wouldn't get the reaction that you think it would. At worst, you'd get people trolling, but if we were to make it an |OT|, with contacting one of the mods (I recommend Nirolak) for assurance of trolling to get a banhammer along with established rules, then it'd be a relatively safe thread.

Actually watching the second episode is what made me come to this topic to try and figure out why, not only did it not suck(seeing Lauren Faust's list of previous works pretty much answered that question), but was actually pretty good. I think I was actually disappointed when I saw that the other episodes were slice of life style, but I was still a foal then, I also thought Pinkie Pie would just be annoying... Now I play one on Eden Eternal(Rainbow Dash is still best pony though).

Beware that you can't post that popcorn GIF, or any pony GIF on GAF outside of this thread (or it's sequel, or the eventual season 2 thread). We all know how much GAF loves it's GIFs, but at least one mod has said that he'll seriously ban anyone who posts pony material outside of this thread.

Okay, I forgot to mention this, but someone did it again. I was in PonyGAF chat and I fell asleep with my computer on, and I wake up several hours later to the sounds of obscure music. What is with you people and playing music in the chat early in the morning? lool.

Thanks for the heads up, although I don't understand the logic behind it at all. Is there a particular reason why MLP is held with such negative regards versus Michael Jackson's Thriller?

I don't hold the expertise as you guys by any means, but based on my experience tonight this whole Brony thing makes sense.

This show simply has good fucking writing/voice acting/animation. And we enjoy that just as anyone should. Whoever is pulling the strings on this show has obviously either intentionally or unintentionally gone far beyond their target audience.

If all the haters actually took a second to watch the show they would sympathize (I questioned all this at one point as well)
 
Well, not all of them. Opinion and all that. But quite a few people have come in and said, paraphrasing: 'You know what? Watch what you dudes like. Party on.'

I disagree. I think there are distinctively qualitative and quantitativly wholesome aspects to FiM fandom that can be used to shield from detractors, unlike any of icecream's threads (any, ever).

As long as we avoid messed up fan art and have the thread focus on the fighting game it should be fine.

Although I've yet to watch the finale (dunno why I've been putting it off), I think its safe to say yes, that is absolutely true. Subject matter of what the sister likes not so much, but that brother of her's is a god damned saint of a man. The Atticus Finch of older brothers, even.

Why, does something happen in the last episode that changes all of that good will he collects?

edit: looking at the episode synopsis, it looks like they did more than just 12 eps (I stopped at 11). I still don't understand what you're trying to infer, though. Dude is remarkably supportive and stoic. He demonstrates values of a reliable and loving brother, almost to the point of idealism. For this reason, I find him to be very comparable to Atticus Finch of "To Kill a Mockingbird," as he demonstrates values of a supportive and stoic father.
 
I would like a straight answer, if that's fine. PM me, if you must. Is this a case of simply differing opinion, or am I missing a piece of the puzzle?
