Mythical Pokemon being distributed throughout 2016

Is it impossible to breed the Mew that came from the event? if not I'm willing to trade all the regi trio for it (the pokebank ones) because those are catchable in ORAS still.

I'm only interested in collecting the pokemon, not in using them for battle.

Have you RBY / FRLG? There's a mansion filled with diary excerpts from a bunch of scientists who "successfully" bred Mew. No one is willing to try it again. Terrible business all round.

manaphy is the only legendary that can breed and even then it can only make a Phione

Ohh ok, bulbapedia lists legendaries with eggs is why I asked, thanks.

Oh, yeah the games have values for stuff like that so it doesn't crash if you hack in Suicune eggs or whatever.

Weirdly, a few of them even have values for that which look like they were specifically designed, and not just throwaways.

Most legendaries have ridiculous cycles, since they're just placeholders basically.

Heatran has a fairly standard egg cycle, to name one. It has genders too, which makes you wonder.

I've always kinda thought Hetran was originally supposed to be just a rare non-legendary Pokemon, similar to Rotom.

I've still got Mew codes I was saving in case anyone couldn't get them at Gamestop. Anyone need one? (North America)
 
I've got a code for one of the legendary birds. The code is for a random bird so I can't guarantee which one it is but I know it's for either articuno or Moltres

I just realized though that Zapdos got an ability change in this generation. I was excited for lightning rod, oh well.

Maybe they figured that would be too powerful? LR Zapdos never did get a release did it?
 
So, discounting Deoxys since it's caught in-game now, Diancie is the only Mythical not being distributed this year

It did not.

It'd have made it so powerful.

Static is useful though. Switch into Mega Kangaskhan and ruin it :p

I never thought about it but Static is great against that double power up punch isn't it?! Even flame body would have its uses. Two abilities that I never cared for, until now!

So, when I try putting HOOPA2016 It keeps saying "Your Game Card cannot receive the gift provided by this code." on both Y, and OR. :\

Does anyone have a Zapdos code from the recent distribution. My son managed to get Articuno and Moltres, now he's desperate for Zapdos, but Smyths in the UK have started being stingy with how many codes they give you.

I hate when Smyths get codes, getting one is a pain.

Anyway, if nobody has one for you, just make sure you are subscribed to the Pokémon Newsletter thingy. The latest one I got says the next one will have codes for the birds.

I went into Smyths today and the machine that gives out the code broke down. So I had to go another store. However, whats interesting was the store I normally go to, the guy said the codes are random and he doesnt know what the codes meant. More importantly, he didnt care about his work and was plain rude. I do in fact know most Smyths staff in my store are really nice. But, I went into another Smyths store I dont normally go to who did have the machine code working in there store. I asked initially if he knew what pokemon code I would get? he didnt said its random but he could figure out what the codes were. And he asked me the question if I wanted all three codes? You can gather what I said.

This guy was super awesome and really, a top bloke. It took a few minutes waiting. But even I managed to understand what he meant by which code is linked to which pokemon. I wont say the first two digits as its irrelevant, its digits 3 and 4 that count.

XXZ8 - Moltres
XXZ7 - Articutno
XXZ6 - Zapdos
