Serious question, do you want to sell it? That is one of the few pirate sets im missing.

I'm sorry. I wish I had a spare one to give you, because I would if I did. This set has extreme sentimental value to me.

I love legos. Just the other day, I checked out some of the new stuff. The Star Wars legos are insane! But the prices for them are just way too much. I rather just get a bucket of legos and make a mis-colored X-Wing or something.

Good memories. I'm tempted to rebuild the Pirate Ship and Eldorado, probably my two favorite sets ever. I loved the castle sets, especially the Dark Dragon's Castle, but you just can't beat pirates.

I remember once building a Legend of Zelda series using the Robin Hood style characters for Link and making all sorts of monsters and tons of items for Link and Zelda. I even had a Link riding a horse and wearing armor, because I thought that would be awesome, even though I assumed it would never happen in the series. This was perhaps around the time that Link to the Past came out.

I played with my Walking Astro Grappler alot

oh my gosh, I almost forgot.... a set that I wanted so badly... and never got it...I tried my best to build one with the pieces that i had, and came pretty close to it, though not quiet...

Oh yeah...the 8880 and the 8448.

I've got the 8448 sitting on top of the chest of drawers in Christy's bedroom at Christy's parent's house. I refuse to take it apart. It took five hours to get it together. The pneumatic pumps are both broken, and the stickers are peeling off, but I love it to death. I also love the alternative model, with the wing doors.
I wish I had the means to buy the 8880 when it originally came out, but I wasn't working age yet.

I think some of you guys around here must be pretty damn old. I don't even recognise half of the space sets posted around here. Anyway here's what I had:

I absolutely loved the Ice Plant shuttle. Awesome times.

I used to spend a lot of time using all the pieces I had to build modern military fighter aircraft. I had swing-wing F-14s and Tornados. I had F-16s, a beefy F/A-18 (beefier and kewler than the Super Hornet, with variable geometry verticle tails!) ... I had a big F-15...

so i went looking on google for Lego jet fighters, and while i know i havent even got the tip of the iceberg, i did manage to find a cool F-14 Tomcat...very different from mine

omfg! although my BEEFY F/A-18 was much different, those missiles with the red engine/rockets were exactly how i made MY missiles. lmao.

I was actually inspired as well, by this:

i never got the chance to get it, so i just went and got the next 2 interations of that concept.

as for 8448, i prefer the gull wing over the convertible. the convertible looks somewhat incomplete as a design compared to the gullwing model. plus i love the look of that shape of car. I got similar problems you did... stickers pealing, and a malfunctioning pump. I got a replacement pump from lego for free though. There's form on their website to report missing pieces so that's what i used. now the newer pump on the passenger side works better than on driver's side. but mine hardly moves from its shelf either. but it's covered in dust T_T

I used parts from that one and some other space lego to fabricate my own version of

A spaceship from a cartoon I used to watch (Starcom).

Have any of you guys seen or heard of the Lego wanna-bes, Best Locks? I thought they were pretty lame until I saw these:

I got a couple of the army sets a few years ago...they KICK ASS. I have two big tanks, a transporter that turns into a bridge, a jeep, and I think a jet that I never built. Best of all, the little guys weren't smiling, they had serious looks on their faces, and they had AK-47s. :D :D

I also got a set or two of their old transforming mechs. They were pretty slick too.

Yeah, the light&sound one was pretty cool; I actually still have that, and the metal components still seem as robust as ever (given a 9v battery, it actually still works). Actually, I think I have most of the space sets shown in this thread. One of the cool ones omitted was the Space Police moon jail, which was basically a hangar with launch rails for an included ship that could hold the prisoner cell.

Sadly I never did have the cash to grab the pirate ship, but I did find a way to get almost every non-ship Pirate set. I've got enough lego sharks for a zoo.

WTF? I had some of those Legos animal people. I had no idea they were called Fabuland? No wonder my dad was embarassed to be seen buying this for his son. :lol :lol :lol

the Starfleet Voyager is SO well loved among LEGO fans and the LEGO community that it seems quite a few fan-made knockoffs, modifications 'super' SFVs can been seen
a few examples:

'Starfleet Explorer'
After the success of its Voyager design, Starfleet Spaceworks launched the Explorer project. The goal was to build a ship with similar range and speed characteristics, layout, and reliability. They succeeded fairly well, but the higher cost of the ship made it soon outclassed by offerings from their competitors. The production run was only 6 years (compared to the 20-year cycle of the Voyager), and there are still at least twice as many Voyagers in service today. The pilots who do own Explorers, however, tend to be very passionate about their ships and will go on about their reliability and ease of repair.

now I will do a post (maybe 2-3) on the Lego Monorail sets - which I know next to NOTHING about. I have a few vauge memories of seeing some the Monorail sets on TV, in Lego catologs and in stores. I did not even have a friend that had one. So whatever I post about it, is going by from what I pick up on by Googling and surfing the internet in general.

anyone who knows more about the Monorail Lego sets/systems, feel free to add :)

Lego is pretty damn solid. Those space kits bring back a lot of memories. I remember that my brother got that moon kit with the ship and the tiny base with the mini control room.

I had that one Robotix kit with the dinosaur thing. I remember it had 5 numbered motors and a console that controlled them. Wiring up that thing was nuts.

I also had a small but wicked Construx set that I played with a whole lot.
