Bolt has suiton affinity. Shino has fire affinity. I asked what jutsu could he perform and no, size of the jutsu evidently matters. Bolt has no elemental feats without the cheat device other than vanishing rasengan.

Yeah. Cause I think the reasons why Sasuke and Neji don't have a problem with shadow clones is because their eye techniques can see the real person and/or their opponents chakra points. Since Himawari is stronger in the Byakugan than Bolt then I'm assuming a bunch of shadow clones wouldn't really give her much of a problem.

Character A knows an affinity. We need to see character A use said technique to see how it holds against character B's technique.
I take it as the shinobi world becoming less barbaric. Team 7's era had killings permitted and atmosphere as a whole was a lot more savage. If you go back even further than the tests were even more crazy.

Knows an affinity? Everyone has an affinity to one element, you dont learn or change your affinity. And Borutos is likely Futon anyway.
Having affinity is different from being ae to use jutsu. Boruto states he can actually use different styles.

Which the movie failed to showcase. Didn't Boruto state he could use lightning jutsu as well on top of another element? I know most people have one element with the occasional person having 2, but 3 elements is a rarity if I'm not mistaken. I just hope Boruto wasn't talking out of his but on that one.

Incorrect. You can master jutsus from elements which you do not have an affinity to and eventually have numerous elemental affinities. It just takes insane skill and a lot of time. Kakashi is a prime example having learnt and mastered all 5 natures.
Once again, it is not shown. That is the point.

Wow...I thought most people tapped out at 3 natures, didn't realize Kakashi knew all 5. I guess the only time you can't do a jutsu is if it's tied to your bloodline.

I'm more of a show don't tell type when it comes to fighting moves. It's like if Sarada talked about having Sharingan, but never used them once during the movie.

Boruto is about as good of a protagonist as Kaguya was as a villain. Maybe worse because at least Kaguya's design was good.
His flaws right now would be work ethic and lack of motivation. But that was seemingly fixed in the movie.
Overall he just seems too sure of himself. The way he talks about not needing teammates and stuff probably means he's a terrible team member and not quite a leader which I think Sasuke/Naruto could do pretty well early on. He was ready to leave Sarada and Mitsuki hanging in the Chuunin exams so he could play gameboy. His arrogance will probably become an issue as the manga progresses.
Ehh characters talk alot about their powers and don't always get to show them. Its just exposition. They're not conscious characters thay can lie to you lol. The plot need Boruto to cheat so he could have progression and character development. Its not a conspiracy or anything lol.

Yeah I'm pretty convinced that Sarada and MItsuki are the leaders of new Team 7 since they were a lot more certain of their capabilities. Bolt just did what Bolt wanted to do, whether it benefitted the team or not.
Not everybody is meant to lead. Sometimes you need Indians and there's nothing wrong with that.
Mitsuki is too nice to lead lol. I guess he has that sage mode though. I really think Sarada is going to end up Hokage.

Well considering who his mom dad thing is I'm pretty sure Mitsuki can make a rational decision, can't say the same for Bolt whom thinks Panda is a completely different thing unrelated to a bear.
I don't remember about the sharingan, but wasn't it a plot point that Neji couldn't tell which Naruto was the clone? And just assumed it was the one sitting back and that's how Naruto tricked him?
On the other topic, the manga could definitely do with less Uchiha bullshit, so I'm hoping Sarada stays far away from that, and just does her own thing.
I also don't really want Naruto 2.0, or even anymore filler Hyuuga, they never amount to anything.
I want more Uzumaki, chakra chains and all, but Kishi seems to want to avoid going into any detail on that ever again, so I doubt the new guy will either.
Bolt should have had god damn chakra chains.

Unless they've got a Rinnegan, some messed heart-stealing ability like Kakuzu's, and possibly a Nature Release-combining Kekkei Genkai like Mokuton, there's a single chakra nature they'll have an affinity for, one they'll have an easier time acquiring and taking to greater heights than the others. This is what the paper test is used to reveal. Usually takes years to get a handle on the one you have an affinity for, and usually only Jōnin-level Shinobi can learn to recompose their chakra to more than one. Folks like Kakashi, Hiruzen, Orochimaru, and Tobirama are among the rare few that have learned them all.
A lot of people still have a tendency to call the act of recomposing their chakra to any nature an "affinity". Don't know if that was something instilled by some flawed translations or what, but it's off.
