Yeah, that move was so cool......and then it got totally undermined by Sasuke's instant teleportation thing lol
"Undermined", he says... Sasuke's Amenotejikara was garbage.
It's only possible saving grace, having those stupid limits Kishimoto placed on it removed with the awakening of a second Rinnegan was ruined with his obsession with heterochromia dōjutsu. Amenotejikara would have been better suited as a Mangekyō Sharingan ability.
Base Byakugan > base Sharingan.
Sharingan was so broken that folks were attributing some of it's abilities to the Mangekyō Sharingan for years. Only thing the Byakugan has on the Sharingan, and even the
"most revered" Rinnegan is in terms of the insight it grants those who wield itthe
"dōsatsugan" that all of the Three Great Dōjutsu share.
Speaking of MS.
Let's list the MS/EMS eyes rank in order from Strongest to weakest.
Based on how I judge the efficacy of their respective dōryoku:
- Obito
- Itachi
- Shisui
- Sasuke
- Madara
Based on how Kishimoto tried to portray the difference in their inherent/given power, and potential throughout the manga:
- Sasuke
- Madara
- Itachi
- Obito
- Shisui
I'm not listing Kakashi or Danzō because if we're just ranking the eyes themselves, we shouldn't even have to consider how they were able to utilize their borrowed power. Obito's eyes shared all of Kamui's applications with the exception of the long-range casting via its left, and
"phasing" via its right. There were no confirmed discrepancies between Shisui's eyes, and what we could discern could have very well been due to how their respective users' skills and bodies were able to make use of them rather than any inherent differences in how the eyes were able to make use of Kotoamatsukami.
I'll say Madara's eyes are the weakest, as they don't seem to have any special abilities worth mentioning on their own. Most of this strength derives from him being an Indra reincarnation.
It's not that they don't have these abilities, Susanoo couldn't have been manifested without awakening the power(s) present in both Mangekyō Sharingan. It's just that Kishimoto never bothered to show what his initial dōryoku was/were.
This could have been due to general laziness, or being all too aware of the fact that he had written himself into a corner when trying to figure out how characters like Madara and Obito could realistically lose when they had abilities like Kanseitai Susanoo and Kamui on top of the full extent of the Rinnegan's dōryoku.
Obito's are clearly the strongest and together they are not only able to awaken perfect Susanoo (for some reason)
That reason was likely the fact that his dōryoku had been bolstered by Rikudō's chakra after becoming the Jūbi's Jinchūriki.
I'd still like to think that Kanseitai Susanooor Susanoo's invocation
alonewouldn't have been possible without being bonded with the very source from which all of these powers originated, and that Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan wouldn't have been capable of it otherwise.
While also providing the lowest long term visual damage to the user.
It was never actually confirmed why Obito's eyes were never seemingly affected by overuse of the Mangekyō Sharingan, but based on how the recuperative powers of Hashirama's power allowed Danzō to reduce the recharge time of Shisui's dōryoku from a decade to a single day, it's likely that nearly half of Obito's body being comprised of Hashirama's cultivated genetic material granted similar benefits to his eyes'
"light"; slowing down its degradation if not preventing it entirely.
I'll put Kakashi's lower as they lack the array of techniques Obito unlocked.
As mentioned above, both of Obito's eyes shared all applications of Kamui with the exception of it's long-range casting, and Jikūkan Idō/
"phasing"
Itachi and Sasuke provide both extremely strong abilities in Amateratsu, but have the highest visual deterioration we seen so far.
This likely had more to do with how they were forced to use their abilities, rather than their Mangekyō Sharingan being inherently more inclined to lose their
"light" faster; if their bodies had Hashirama's flesh grafted onto them as well, they may not have had to deal with it at all.
Considering the circumstances, Itachi's lasted surprisingly wellaround a decade. Sasuke was forced into extremely fierce, multiple confrontations in which he recklessly overused his Mangekyō Sharingan within a very short period of time. He was especially reliant on Susanoo, and it was implied to deteriorate the Mangekyō Sharingan's eyesight especially fast.
Madara's susanoo is a lot bigger too isn't it?
As with all of the giant creatures Kishimoto's depicted, I've come to believe that he was simply being inconsistent, and that they were meant to be similarly sized.
If it can fly(I don't see why it wouldn't be able to with those wings) it can probably beat Sasuke's.
If we are to presume they are the same size, and base our judgement on the abilities we've seen, Sasuke's would definitely seem to be superior, as he's used his blades cutting shockwaves to dice apart much greater targets in Madara's barrage of Chibaku Tensei, and performed a Chidori strong enough to contend with a Bijūdama through it.
Those aren't wings. Just another two arms.
Look at its form when he pulls it out against the Gokage and Hashirama.
Technically,
all of their wings are secondary arms. The difference lies in how they are used as
"sheaths" for their Kanseitai Susanoo's blades. Madara's lie at the tips of his Kanseitai Susanoo's wings, Sasuke's(and I believe it was the same for Kakashi's) at the alulae.
And they were
all capable of flight. From the 4th Data Book's entry, which fails to list Sasuke, and Kakashi/Obito as users, ironically:
"It manifests massive amounts of chakra that surrounds the user, taking on the shape of a martial god that dwarfs mountains. It mentions that the difference between this and the normal version is that it perfectly forms an entire body. It also mentions that it's clad in armor that can be reshaped into wings, allowing the user to fly."
I think the only reason Madara's looked relatively small 'n deformed is precisely because he was never given an excuse to spread 'n use them.
