Kishi is looking at the bigger Picture, Bolt and Salad will end up together, thus indirectly causing all main pairings to finally be together in some form.

But then Sakura had a breakdown right after the Pain battle and all that and went all crazy and dumb with her false confession to Naruto and trying to kill Sasuke and it was like, what are you doing Kishi... in the end she was ruined so badly that my logic was "She would make more sense but Hinata is actually far better for him at this point."

That is dumb, I really liked Sakura for most of Part 2 until she remembered Sasuke, because they kept implying she was like Kushina, Jiraiya and Tsunade spoke of it, Minato noticed it, it was this on going thing, and so for awhile I was pretty confident in the fact that's how it would end, because it was like, why would it not go that way if Kishi keeps pushing the idea she is some sort of next generation Kushina and be like "Find a girl who is like her" and so on, that's basic connecting dots logic.

That reminds me though, if Chōji had to end up with a random cute chick, then why not Ayame? She loves to cook. He loves to eat. It's a dream come true. They at least interacted a little in the filler episode of the original anime.

I would love this. I imagine him looking somewhat like Natsu from Fairy Tail with straighter hair... and Sharingan.

Eh.. I can see the appeal of NaruIno but Ino is extremely superficial even compared to Sakura. I just don't see how those two would get along.
Other Crack ships I've found interesting were:

Naruto X Karin
It was the ship almost everyone wanted. It was weird that it actually sailed, seeing the art of their kids was surreal as fuck, especially for someone that's been following the manga since 2006, like me.

Why? that statement was true. She and Bolt want more attention from their fathers. And they both have fathers that are basically the two most powerful ninjas alive. They are both are growing up in the shadow of their fathers.

Also there were a few non pairing things I was sure was going to play out when I first started to read Naruto that ended up not happening.
1. I was sure that Jiraiya was Naruto's biological grandfather. Didn't happen.
2. I was certain the Gai was Lee's uncle or related in some way. Didn't happen
3. I thought they would find a way to remove the cage bird seal from Negi. Didn't happen
4. At the end of part one I was sure that Naruto's Mom was still alive. Didn't happen.
5. I thought Naruto would learn Sealing techniques from Jiraiya and rediscover the Uzimaki sealing techniques. should have happened.
6. I was use that Sakura's pink hair pointed to a inherited bloodline limit. Also should have happened.

After watching Sakura be pathetic for the entire series, i'm oddly at peace with them getting together. At least Sakura's efforts ended up paying off.

Simply put Sakura deserves better then Sasuke. But she also didn't deserved to be portrayed as a weak willed push over in 699. But Kisimoto decided to throw put all of her Character development.
Leaving Sakura's dumb war cry Salad does untranslated isn't much better

Frog-Fu that fan made name was Arashi Kazama.
I think the whole of Team 7 was out of character at various instances and to various degrees in 699. The only one to blame for that is Kishimoto.

Arashi Kazuma, or was it Kazama? Either way, this was the name EVERYONE used in their theories and fan art and shit. I don't know who came up with it or why it stuck, but I remember those days clearly.
Loads of fans were CONVINCED he was the leader of Akatsuki at some point. We had everything from evil twin theories to future Naruto theories, and so much more. It was crazy.

I remember this edit going around and people debating whether it was a genuine spoiler or not. I can't even remember what chapter it was for or even guess how long ago this was. Minato's name wasn't revealed until 386 or whatever so I was well before that think.
Actually, you're right. Nardo and Kakashi were normal. It was really only Sauce and Sakura that were OOC.

I think there's a fine line between being a neglectful parent and a bad parent. Naruto has to be neglectful to some degree if it causes Bolt to act for his attention in the first place, but they've obviously got a good relationship so he's definitely not a bad parent.
I do wonder though, how could Naruto not have time for his kids if times are peaceful? I get that there's more to being Hokage than fighting wars, but by all indications Konoha is prosperous and peaceful, so either Bolt is being bratty or the summit meeting had Naruto busy for a while and for short period of time he couldn't hang out with his kids.
Dunno what the deal with Sasuke is though. Some of us got the impression he's a deadbeat dad so there's that.
The mini series will probably shed more light on that.
