NASA briefing on potential signs of simple life on Mars

I can remember people arguing on forums not long ago how only Earth could produce the environment for simple life lol. Only 2 planets we can examine with clarity and both of them look to have/had life. It's possible Mars has even more complex examples, but we've just scratched the surface.

Ugghh, bit of a nothing burger(and theyve been in this is there/isint there signs of life on mars since '97), so its a "leftover sign", if there's anything there it will be in the icecaps.

I hate that headline, they found something that could be signs of life maybe.

that's science news for you... always overly sensationalised.
"new data destroys big bang theory!!!"
"university xyz developed battery with 100 year charge!"
"Einstein proven wrong in new paper!"

and it's all 99% nonsense, 1% accurate, and usually disproven by the very paper they link to and in some cases the people they report on find it just as irritating that their work is completely taken out of context (some other of course love it because they can leverage the publicity)

Words are important and there were a lot of loaded qualifiers used.

Imagine if you had to stop and take a massive dump in the middle of the woods, a real bowl buster, a jurrasic park sized pile of excrement and it somehow managed to stay in the perfect conditions to get fossilized and millions of years later, some alien civilization examining our planet finds that as proof that life existed on earth. That is your legacy to the universe.

look at this…..it doesnt look like mercury or the moon or venus… also, i bet that tidally locked earth sized planets in the habitable zone of red dwarf stars dont have atmospheres (trappist 1-d) its just a bigass halfbaked rock. the red dwarf probably just blows all the atmosphere off
