Alien life, even if it's microscopic, will be one of the greatest discoveries in history of the mankind.
There's a whole lot we can learn about the origin of life, the possibility of life on other planets and stuff like the great filter that it's not even funny.

And that's before we get into philosophical and theological stuff.

Marvin's design as a looney tunes martian is so freaking good. They could have gone with the easy grey alien, but they decided to make it a small roman you dont see his face with sports shoes. It also mixes pretty well being a roman with the operah style of some of the looney tunes episodes.
