Nobody actually thinks Skyfall is a bad movie, they just think that if they hate on the most popular Bond movie they'll get internet points and be revered in GAF history. Same with the "Batman Begins is better than TDK" meme.

Overpraising new films? Maybe. But no one is doing that with Quantum or Spectre so the system works. Yeah maybe unfair to old ones, but even then Goldeneye is the highest ranked for Bronson so the list isn't exactly wrong.

Bah, hogwash!

Dark Knight got the "Rey Mysterio after Eddie died" push when Ledger died. Also, Dark Knight is boring as fuck when Ledger isn't on screen and the plot of the movie is dependent on Joker having precognition and all of the other characters failing to communicate like normal human beings. Batman Begins is like the definitive Batman movie.

Dark Knight also has the most "head up its own ass" ending in a comic book movie, ever.

yeah i'm with bjork, TDK is way better than Begins

I think I even liked TDKR more than Begins, but that's a stretch because i'd have to ignore a whole bunch of dumb things from that movie

Dark Knight is like the 3rd or 4th best Batman movie to hit movie theaters. Goddamnit Gordon and Batman, just blame Dent's killings on the Joker because it makes way more sense!

Begins > Mask of the Phantasm > Batman > Dark Knight

Whoa, fella. I never watched TDK. Begins was already too much, I didn't need to go back for more. Not even the "Heath Ledger used this one Tom Waits interview as reference for how to play his character" could get me to watch it.

I just realized that people said he borrowed from Tom Waits for TDK, but then Heath Ledger's final role was in Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Tom Waits was also in that. I wonder if it ever came up in conversation.

The Dark Knight is great until the big Dent/Joker/Batman chase sequence, that's when the movie totally loses me because the script takes a giant shit on itself. Most of Joker's plan is dependent on him knowing shit that he in no fucking way can possibly predict and having literally every little thing go perfectly right for him. Plus I retroactively hate it because it created the "villain getting captured as part of his plan" trope that fucking everything uses now.

TDKR is bad in a depressing way. The script is just so halfassed that it's obvious Nolan didn't give a shit anymore after Ledger died.

Just seems strange that Kotaro wouldn't have announced he was leaving when Go did back in September, if that's the case.

You nerds need to watch Goldeneye again. I enjoyed the movie and still do but watching it now, it hasn't aged very well and comes off extremely cheesy at points. I guess you can really say that about all Bond movies though.

I know what complete shit is. I've been watching it every week for the last 21 years of my life. Even though I did not like Spectre, I would not call it trash because I've been living trash for 21 years!

Fuck wrasslin. Can't wait to watch Raw tonight. FML.

Goldeneye is an extremely dated movie now, but I kind of think that adds to it's charm

I never go into Movie threads because without a doubt, someone is going to hate something I liked recently. Always.

The other way doesn't happen too much. If I end up not liking something, chances are there isn't much fan fair.

That's what I'm saying, Bond movies are a product of the era they were created in - you can't go back and trying to do so never works out well. At least Casino Royale tried something markedly different, even if I didn't enjoy the movie as much as others.

There's nothing wrong with a performance carrying the film. Bret carried Austin to the greatest match in the history of our sport. Ledger carried that film to absolute GREATNESS. Dark Knight is still the GOAT comic book movie
